Went here for dinner with kids and family. We were sat beneath a blaring TV, and given a pizza menu, with no other options, the most miserable rudest waitress in the world then proceeded to list what was on the other menu, apparently having a menu or board for this is to much effort for them. The food was rubbish.

A good, unpretentious pizza restaurant with a vast choice of pizzas. Very popular with the locals . Hidden away, not very easy to find, but worth the effort.

The iconic fish restaurant since 1976 in Piana degli Albanesi. Now completely refurbished offer a very modern ambient. Come and try the most fresh fish responsibly sourced in Sciacca
Although this restaurant is far from the sea, the fish and the sea food is very fresh. The must to eat is the "Soute di pesce". Take it for everybody at the table and you will not be disappointed... I also and the Pappardelle with Astice. Very good too.Enjoy,Michele

A touching story is connected to this 17th century farmhouse. In short: it was confiscated from a mafia boss and is now run by a cooperative. The main hall has very high ceilings, and so had our spatious room.Emilio cooks in a creative way, rooted in tradition. He uses local ingredients, mostly organic/biological, and these products can also be bought at the farmhouse. We had some great antipasti, primi and secundi. The slow food movement will surely approve. After a hike in the mountains, nothing tastes better than drinking their own Centopassi wine on the terrace - enjoying the stunning mountain view. The white wines are gorgeous! We only wish our comprehension of the Italian language was better, because the people here have fascinating stories to tell. We had a very welcoming stay, and recommend Portella della Ginestra wholeheartedly.

I absolutely recommend this place, even if you are close to Piana degli Albanesi, you have to go to this osteria.. Which is amazing, the food is fresh (with fresh pasta) .. and you have to try the best cannoli in the world.. Valeria e Francesca will accompany you in this amazing trip and explosion of superb and healthy flavours..
