The restaurant is quite small and simple but provided an atmospheric setting as the staff bustled about ferrying endless plates of food from the tiny kitchen and the chilled fish cabinet. The endless plates are due to the local practice of providing a fish antipasti that comes in a relay of over a dozen dishes. We stopped counting as our stomachs filled to the point that we could only manage a small and very tasty dolci to finish. At â¬25 per head the antipasti is not the cheap option, but the variety and quality made it well worthwhile. A word of warning: do not trial this if you have any reservations about raw fish and shellfish, as we moved through raw oysters, scallops, clams, whelks, mussels, tuna, whitefish and even prawn. All were sea fresh. Grazie mille per le belle parole spese per noi. Sicuri di averla ancora nostro ospite cordiali saluti dallo staff del Borgo Antico

Inbetween being open for the season and preparing for the opening we stumbled upon this bay with restaurant Camavite'. ( you'll have to go through M3 residence, eventhough you think you can't)We enjoyed a big variety of starters, including 4 different ways of eating mussels. Truly wonderfull. ( i'm not even that fond of mussels in real life)Fantastic wines, some nice pasta to finish off. (We opted for no secundi)And the best of all: very kind and hospitable waiters and excellent seaview.Do yourself this favour and go...

La cucina risente della vicinanza del mare e del profumo del Mediterraneo. Potrai trovare pesce fresco tutti i giorni, specialita della casa da gustare comodamente in un' ampia e lussuosa sala o sulla balconata che affaccia direttamente sul mare.

Sat down here for lunch one day last week. A man asked us if we just wanted a drink or eat too. we said both. There were people seated there long before us that had never been waited on. We sat for a good long while and he never came back. Don't know what the problem was but we got up and left. It was too bad because Ive read such great reviews. We returned several times never to find it open.

The very personable chef/owner Matteo has created a real winner here. This is deservedly No. 1. My wife and I love eating in as many different places as we can when on vacation (especially in Italy!) but we had to return to La Taverna two nights in a row.You are eating in a beautifully renovated/recreated basement cave, with seating on three different levels. Tables were nicely spaced and it was a very nice ambiance (if, perhaps, just a bit too brightly lit). It sure was a sparkling white cave on a winding pedestrian street in the heart of Peschici's ancient centro storico. The first night we splurged on the divine crudites di mare for two. Very generous platter of raw oysters (4), shrimp (2), mussels (6), clams (10-12) and tuna served two different ways. Best appetizer in 17 nights in southern Italy. We followed it with a whole sea bass that we asked Matteo to cook as her saw fit. It was roasted in olive oil and garlic with thinly sliced potatoes and olives. It melted in our mouths - roasted just enough and still super moist. Next nights we shared a pasta primi followed once again by a whole roasted fish, this time dorado.La Taverna has a nice selection of wines (we had a recommended Puglia white that we enjoyed) and were pleased to see that Matteo encourages wines with the meal (i.e. not too much markup on the wine list). Both nights we were happy to cap the meal with Matteo's own limoncello. Again, best of the entire trip. Both nights were just excellent meals. The restaurant is pricey. The seafood is the freshest and having the whole roasted fish boosted the price even more. Both nights were over 100E which was the most we spent on the entire trip. And, in my opinion, when compared to what one would pay for comparable freshness and quality (not to mention the very enjoyable atmosphere and charming Matteo) in the U.S., worth every euro of it.Not cheap, but a very highly recommended "splurge."

We were travelling through Apulia when we decided to stop at Manaccora beach; this lido offered an inexpensive possibility to stay on the beach (in June, 2 deckchairs/1 beach umbrella costed around 10â¬/day) and park our car nearby (parking isn't very big, though). Manaccora's beach is wonderful. We didn't try the restaurant but considering the amount of guests it must be very good.

Typical Trattoria from Puglia, Home made cooking
We arrived there, were asking for a table and after 10 minutes of a treatment with indifference we left. Bella vista but no good communication. There are also other places for fine dining.

We went on a Monday beginning of September and the restaurant was empty I guess it was already low season, as a matter of fact we got recommendation from a local. The surroundings were beautiful this is a restaurant on top of a cliff with a very nice view on the cost . The owner greeted us and the dishes were well presented. The shrimp and tuna appetizers were good and then we had risotto which was nice although I would have loved to see a little more seafood in it. Price is according to the presentation of the dishes. I would have given 5 stars if my risotto was a little more fis

The service at Verde is one of the best Iâve seen. The staff are never rude and fix any error that may occur. They are also very friendly and some staff speak English which is a bonus. The food was amazing along with the view. It was very fresh and you get treated well. Had a few little mistakes but they were fixed and compensate for. Will definitely be going back and recommend this restaurant.
