My family and I chose to visit DeTres according to the very positiv comments and nice setting captured by the picture on the website. It was a very good choice! We had some appetizers (grilled vegetables - asparagus were super! - grilled muscles), followed by a grilled bream and baby prawns cooked in tempura, all combined with a tasty local dry white wine. To finish lemon sorbet with limoncello, browny with ice cream and dark chocolate ice cream balls with whipped cream. On top of a very nice and intimate location, the owners were simply amazing, welcoming us, treating us with a lot of care and spending time with us chatting about Catalonia and the camarca of Baix Empordà .We really had the opportunity to experience a piece of Catalonia! Well done! Keep it up!HelloWe are really amazed with your feelings about us. We try to make our guests feel as home, and gave them the best experience. Thank you, we hope to see you soon.

Fisherman's house with a rustic and chic ambiance, right on the Beach of Port Bo, with an innovative mediterranean cuisine. Superb views and location.
I am gluten free and the menu clearly identified gf options which was lovely as I felt included and could clearly choose my meal. Staff spoke perfect English and the food was amazing. Unfortunately we couldn't get a table outside, but the view from upstairs across the bay was great. We had the sweetest clams and mussels followed by steak. This is a small venue and they don't take large group bookings, you need to phone and book after 7.00 in advance if you want any chance of getting a table (they spoke English over the phone too) I would highly recommend this place

You knew that Josep Pla was a lover of grilled fish, he said: "Let me say at once that I am every day more supportive of the cuisine of the grilled fish: never to the griddle! Crustaceans should be made in this way all the most important." Have you tasted
I went to Sala Gran with my boyfriend on a Saturday night in June. The restaurant used to be a traditional farm which makes the atmosphere unique. We had the menu at 44 euros. It was very generous and super tasty. Service was quick and efficient too. We go to Spain at least once a year and we will definitely go back. Thank you,We are proud to know that our gastronomy liked,We hope to see you next time. The team of Sala Gran.

The restaurant la Calendula, attached to the hotel Del Teatre, is located in the medieval village of Regencós, in the heart of the Costa Brava and of the Empordá region, in the midst of nature, between sea and mountain. Its chef Iolanda Bustos has just be
My wife and I visited this restaurant during our honeymoon this summer. We have eaten at lots of fancy restaurants on our travels but we think this one was exceptional. The setting is very tranquil and the decor is beautiful here. The staff are helpful, efficient, but also really friendly, which is not always the case at such a fancy restaurant! The food we had was the extremely delicious tapas selection with a cold local beer on the side (as per tradition) and then we followed this with some delicious iberico pork, octopus and duck mains on our two separate visits. All of these mains were delicious and beautifully presented on the plate. I also had a chocolate, peanut and caramel ice cream desert which was stunning - very rich but wonderfully textured and judged. Furthermore, the staff could all speak Spanish, Catalan, English and French which was really helpful and they offer menus in these languages too. The icing on the cake though was that they were very helpful with my wifeâs dairy allergy and the menu lists allergens next to each dish and this has never been the case eating in France, Spain or the UK before. However, we actually still had a huge selection to choose from. If youâre looking for a romantic, beautiful restaurant with delicious food and perfect service, this is the place to go.

El Timo is the place where workers go for lunch and where families have their Sunday brunches. The food is fresh and simple and of great quality. The menu is traditional Spanish or Catalan family food and it is prepared with love for the food and respect for the customers. The lady serving is a sweetheart. Her father, running the bar, a friendly old man.We have been here several times. And every time we feel we have eaten very well and gotten a lot of value for little money. And don't worry about the wine. Take the red, it is served cold and a very tasty local wine also nice to enjoy as tinto de verano. I guarantee you a good meal in a friendly place. Go where the locals go!

"Pa i Raïm" is located in Palafrugell, in the manor in 1898, the Catalan writer Josep Pla and regenerate descendants of the same. It is a family restaurant with a capacity of between 30 and 40 people, distributed in different rooms and a large and pleasan
A fantastic restaurant with real ambition behind food. This is not your average Catalan village place, it's a restaurant with first class food, nicely presented and really thought through dishes. And not that expensive, considering the level an quality of the food. Maybe not quite worth a star but not far from it either. A must go if you're in Palafrugell.

A Bar with sea taste, just behind Port Bo beach. Come to taste our "Tapas" and pinxos. We are closed for the end of season. We will come back the 1st of March 2019!
Stopping in Cala Palafrugell we found this beautiful tapas bar overlooking the mooring area for the many boats. On entering we were greeted very friendly and shown to a table by the window and a drink order was taken for a beer and a glass of wine. Not being used to tapas service we sat observed before venturing to the counter to select from the many and varied dishes, which could please everyone. We selected a mini beef burger, a chicken skewer and a decorated prawn.Returning to our table the waitress passed and pointed out that we should place our little flag sticks and cocktail sticks in the holder on the table and that she would bill us according to their numbers.A few minutes later a tray of Prawns cooked in a potato pastry, were offered and were really tasty, this was followed by a regular offering every 5 or 6 minutes. I have to admit we waited for the prawns to return on a few occasions. It was a beautiful example of how good food in small quantities can be so appetizing and very filling. A wonderful lunch which lasted so 3 hours (It was a dull day outside). With further drinks and coffee, a bill of â¬33 was most surprisingly good.Very impressive food, service and standard of cleanliness.Thank you for that great explanation of our restaurant! Actually it is great to read your experience and how good it was! Thank you soo much for comming and we are hoping to see you again next year!

Once again the well organised team at Chez Tomas excelled from the cooking to the service and friendly attention. A great place to eat with a varied interesting menu. Half portion options is a clever offer to guests for both starters and main courses. Sea bass BBQ'd is a signature dish in my opinion. Excellent choice of local wines too. Essential to book saw many people turned away.
