Reviews on Mediterranean food in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain. Oviedo is a treasure trove of Spanish religious architecture, dotted with monasteries, cathedrals and shrines that date all the way back to the 9th century. Soak up the rich history of the city by experiencing El Fontán Market, the San Isidoro el Real Church and the Castle of San Juan de Priorio, then shift aesthetic gears and check out modern architectural gems like the Prince Felipe Auditorium and the Jirafa building.

Bistronomie, it is the fusion between words and Bistro Gastronomie. The union between a small hotel where cafes and affordable meals and the so-called haute cuisine are served. SALAZOGUE offers a fun dining experience in the old town of Oviedo.
After 10 days in Spain eating great traditional food we were looking for something different. This small intimate restaurant gave us just that. Sharing plates with an adventurous edge. Seaweed salad. Black lasagna. And a rice pudding that was totally exquisite. Highly recommend for people looking for some reasonably priced creative cooking in Oviedo

Casa de comidas tradicional con producto de temporada y especialidad en platos de cuchara, fabada, fabes con almejas, pote asturiano. Cachopo, y variedad casera de platos veganos
This restaurant is 8 or 9 kms out of Oviedo to the South West, just outside a village called Las Caldos (hot Springs) where there is a large spa complex. This is family run bar and restaurant in a tiny Hamlet, you can easily miss the Restaurant - it is bright blue - this may help! It is set on a hillside with a great view over the river valley below. There is a large terrace and a small bar area, once you go inside there is a friendly welcome, and your are shown through to a large dining room, along with a semi outdoor and a further outdoor terrace dining area. They generally have a set menu, including a veggie/vegan option, as well as an a la carte menu. For 22 Euro you have a choice of three starters, three mains, and five or six deserts. We had the choice of:Fabada (local bean stew similar to Cassoulet) , Octopus and prawn Carpaccio salad, salted cod pate, Cook your own steaks on a hot mountain rock, Wild boar casserole, Grilled Fish.We had the Octopus, Salted Cod, Grilled fish and Wild Boar Casserole. All were great, good portions, - not too big, but lovely fresh ingredients, well prepared and with very friendly and helpful service. All the puds seemed great, I got the impression that they would change frequently. So slightly more expensive than some "local" restaurants, but a great experience, good quality food, in an ideal location. We will return.

The show of their " cooking " will make you enjoy an unforgettable evening where you can savor its specialties in true Japanese style in our Teppanyaki ( Japanese Iron ) . We are also the first restaurant in Asturias Sushi introduced in 2004. Please make
Been there last week for business meeting. I heard about this restaurant time ago. The good is good and tasty, we had the tasting menu with a glass of different wines included in the price, also had the jamon serrano (is specially selected my the Cheff himself), good quantity and the taste is spectacular! And finally I try tmny favourite dish, croquetas! Creamy and perfectly fried. The set up of the dinning area is beautiful and the staff is attentive and happy. Prices and good average of 80e each including the extra dishes we order. I will return for sure! Andres thank you very much for taking the time and devote so highly .We will move its opinion to the team that formed the De Labra family.Best regards and hope to see you soon in our restaurant

We didn't know about this restaurant and we went there a bit by chance. We were super lucky.Ca Suso is a small fine-dining restaurant that offers great cuisine with a incredible value for money in their set menus. The place wasn't very full, so we received loads of attention from the staff, including recommendations for were to shop traditional foodstuffs from Oviedo and good restaurants for the next stop in our trip. The food and the pairing wine were all very, very good, with special mention to their Arroz con Leche. You MUST order it, it was incredible.

The Plan A restaurant/bar was positive suprise. After zipping a very well made Gin and Tonic, we decided to have dinner.Really good ham for starters and as maincourse we had chateaubriand. The Chef cooked it to perfection.Impeccable! good size portions didnt leave space for desert. Service was good and not too pushy, and they even understood a tourist-spanish. Will be visited again!

This place has always been a favourite place to eat and today was no different. The food is always outstanding, including the daily menu del dia. But what makes Alterna different from other restaurants around are the wonderful staff who are super friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes on offer. Fran today was one of the best waiters we've had for a long time! I highly recommend this great Asturian Sidreria and make sure you book in advance for the weekends as it's very popular. Thank you very much for your comment. We try to improve every day and your opinion motivates us to continue doing it. We will congratulate Fran on his behalf. Regards and we hope you visit us again very soon!

My Spanish is not great. I made a genuine effort to converse in spanish and did not speak English. Staff were obnoxious and unfriendly. I ordered a beer but decided to leave before ordering food. Worst experience eating out in Spain. You arrived at 20: 05H, to dinner and you were told that the cooking schedule started at 8:30 PM, I did it by showing you my watch because my English is not good and I told you that you should wait for what you indicated he would have a beer, sat down to wait and 5 minutes before the kitchen would have left without saying anything. Nobody bothered him or treated him badly, I think he has been wrong with his opinion and you are very unfair to us, we can not change our schedules why you do not want to wait sorry

Casa Fermin makes you feel welcome immediately, without any exaggerated theatrical stuff. Friendly and very efficient service, and the food is just extraordinarily good. We shared a generous platter of local cheeses to start, followed by perfectly cooked pigeon for me and monkfish in a squid sauce for my partner. It was a struggle, but we managed to find room for desserts, which were wonderful (and luckily light!). Very interesting wine list. 100% recommended. We did not have a reservation, just walked in at lunch time, no problem.
Tomamos chipirones en su tinta correctos ración abundante , servicio correcto y llego a la conclusión que volverÃa , espero os sirva esta opinión Gracias por su opinion
