We visited Iran in 2015 and this food took me right back there. Delicate rice with plentiful seasoned kabobs and a broiled tomato. Pretty straight forward, but delicious with a great selection of chicken, lamb and fish for such a small spot. You order at the counter and your food is served quickly. No alcohol license, but feel free to bring your own wine / beer. Bring a corkscrew and glasses while you are at it. Shirazi salad was great with the meal, as was the hummus and pita before hand. Best part was the saffron ice cream with pistachio nuts and rose water. Just yummy.

Went to Chef Alisah for dinner. I ordered the Stuffed Cabbage($17), which is Stuffed Cabbage Leaves, Ground beef, rice, onions, salt, pepper, and sauerkraut, all wrapped in little rolls. Another ordered the Goulash($14) which is Beef cut up in squares. Cooked with salt, pepper, red bell peppers, olive oil, and parsley. Served with homemade white butter rice, fresh homemade bread, and cabbage salad. Also, 5 pieces of fresh homemade bread come with the meal which was very good; chewy and good flavor. The Stuffed Cabbage had wonderful flavor and the Goulash was tender and tasty. Chef Alisha came and greeted us and everyone else who comes to the restaurant. The meals were prepared quickly.

We've lived in Oro Valley a couple of years now and, to be honest, don't head up to Catalina that often. Took a drive up there today and while looking for someplace to eat found this gem. We both had the Gyro on the lunch special and enjoyed it. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, the service was great and the prices very reasonable. At the end of our meal I asked to see the menu agian and paid more attention to their dinner offerings. The lamb dishes caught my eye, as did the octopus. And they have a fishermans stew! We will be returning for dinner in the near future.

My wife and I did not experience attentive service or good food around 7:00 pm on 12 July 2018. I usually don't post comments unless I have a good experience, but this time I think it's worth noting the poor experience. We had four different servers. I had to hunt down a server three times. One server took an order for dessert and disappeared. There was no sign of the server or the dessert. I had to order again. The second server disappeared into the kitchen, as well. I had to get up and stand by the kitchen door to finally get her attention, so I could tell her to just pack up the dessert and bring me the check. The food was only edible because I asked for a side of sauce to smother the dishes. My wife had to use the sauce I ordered to make her salmon edible, as well. The salmon was hard and dry on the outside and not too moist on the inside. The smashed potatoes were extremely dry, sporting a texture resembling drying cement. The contents of my shawarma was dry and the thin pita wrap was overly baked, making it difficult to eat and swallow the concoction. We should have sent everything back and left the restaurant. Yuk!Hi Dean, wow, truly sorry for the poor showing and wish we knew this when you were with us so we could make this right for you immediately. This is clearly not the experience we want our guests to have or what we are known for. Would you please email us at [email protected] so we can connect offline? We would like to get some further details from you and see how we can make this right. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us and we assure you, these issues will not happen again.
