We went early on a Tuesday evening and unfortunately were the only diners, which obviously meant the atmosphere was "quiet".I have never sampled Egyptian food before (but have had many other north African menus) The falafel starter was very good, unfortunately for my wife the had no vine leaves. I chose a typical Egyptian dish of Lamb with carrots, which was wonderful and I would thoroughly recommend it. My wife had chicken with raisins and coconut which she very much enjoyed.

I like to drive around Dûsseldorf and during last weekend we ended up in Mülheim an der Ruhr at the time of the diner. We entered in the restaurant Walkmuhle and immediately were surprised about the warm welcome we received. We were lucky enough to have a table in front of the open fire (not working during the warm days but I can already imagine myself during the winter were a fire would be crackling softly giving to the room a great romantic and relaxing ambiance). Sergey, the owner, gave us advices on the menu and it was great advises. We ate like kings, oysters, dorade fish, I took a steak cooked with a 800c professional beafer. Just amazing. While eating, the table next door ate some pasta with mushroom prepared inside a big parmesan cheese and I promised myself to come back to try it.Thank you a lot. We are ever glad to see you again. See you.

I have been to Il Piccolo Principe restaurant several times whilst travelling to Germany over the past years and every time it was very special experience. In my opinion this place provides expertly prepared and presented Italian food. I consider myself being a bit of gourmet and I was fortunate enough to visit some of the best restaurants in the world but I still make sure I pay a visit to Il Piccolo Principe when I am in the area. I think some of their dishes like Vitello Tonato, Filetto Madagascar, Seafood Pasta are just extraordinary. I am not a pizza lover myself but my son enjoyed his pizza very much during our previous visit. The restaurant also has fairly good selection of decent quality Italian wines with extremely knowledgeable wine waiter. I would definitely be back as soon as I am in Mulheim

We had some time to kill so popped in to sample the breakfast buffet. At a cost of 8.50 euro (without drink) it was a good breakfast. I miss bacon and eggs etc since moving to Germany and there offerings here were very good as was the homemade Mett. The service was very good (provided by Merve) and my wife was very impressed by the Chai latte. We will be back! Thanks keith_hawes, for leaving us this response. We are really pleased that you enjoyed your visit with us. We hope to see you again soon. Many thanks, your ALEX Team

Had lunch with a colleague who brought us here. Good salad, and I had a tomato cream based pasta that was good. Colleague had a good basil gnocci. Interesting decorations with faux Sophia Loren and Gina Lollobrigida paintings on walls (in the Men's room, the stalls even have "Sophia" and Lollo" painted on them!). Not great Italian food but pretty good in an area where Italian food can be hit or miss sometimes.

The place is located in very center of the city, next to the Cathedral. I eat there every time I am in Mulheim. What I like about the place? First, the food. All my colleagues share my opinion: it's just delicious! Variety of frying pan dishes, grills, both meat and fish, cold starters - they all are very good. Second, the staff. All guys are friendly and helpful, work fast and without silly mistakes. And, last but not least, the atmosphere! that's really relaxing, that's why the place is so popular, I believe. However, nobody is perfect and this one is not an exception. Last time I ate there I ordered a rib-eye steak. The joint I got was anything but it definitely was not a rib-eye! I couldn't even cut it, not talking about chewing it! I managed to eat maybe 30% of it and gave up then.Of course, that was just an exception, all previous times the food I ordered was absolutely delicious! I recommend it!

Bravi!

There aren't a huge amount of options in Mulheim so I was delighted to come across this little restaurant tucked away just away from the main town. The restaurant owner was incredibly friendly and accommodating, recognising we were English and showing us a printed menu with English translation to help us. The menu is extensive and has something for everyone from pizza to pasta and middle eastern. We ordered the vegetarian platter, wedges, meatballs and a falafel wrap and each dish was fresh and delicious. As a meat eater you don't even notice the absence of meat. My absolute favourite part was the garlic bread, incredibly fresh and tasty. Nice atmosphere, reasonable prices, lovely fresh food and a friendly owner, you can't ask for more!
