We have been eating here since it first opened, initially quite regularly because we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere with the ethnic music. But all that has changed as we've experienced a steady decline especially in the quality of service. There is obviously a management/ownership problem. We had such a negative experience with an out of town guest in May that I went to the website to comment. Apparently, corporate didn't care as I never got a response. This time, the only time we interacted with our server was when our order was taken; we had to ask the hostess for water refills and dessert. My "Greek Pitza" looked like it had been brushed with olive oil, the feta was practically microscopic and the other ingredients were sparse. For $8?? It was like an appetizer for one. My husband, who normally orders the Chicken Curry Pitza which he only eats half of couldn't understand what happened with mine. It will be a long time before we visit again and if so, it will be carry-out.

I went with a friend to Elia's after work this past week when our first choice was not seating immediately. I was not disappointed with service or the quality of the food and drink. I got my usual shish tawouk as did my friend. The server was prompt and attentive but not overly so. In fact, the restaurant let us 'close it down' around 9:00pm at the place.

Tapastrie is a pan-Mediterranean themed restaurant with a moderately priced menu and moderately priced award winning wine list. The informal, vibrant social setting is ideal for either a casual dinner or a special occasion. Our Wine Cellar is perfect for
We grabbed a late bite to eat here after a meeting on a Friday at about 9:15. They made it clear from the beginning that the kitchen was closing at 10, and it seemed like they really didnt want any more customers. I ordered the charcuterie and cheese board which had 5 selections for $26. We chose two meats and three cheese. The portions were a little skimpy considering the price and that I was sharing this with my wife. We eat like this all the time and five selections is usually plenty. To be fair we did not eat the bread that came with the board, and there was a generous amount of it. The wine selection is good and they even have a self serve option where you can try pours of several different wines. I just had a glass of house zin and it was fine. Overall it would have been a better experience if the staff was a little more chill and laid back. I mean, 10 PM on a Friday night isn't the time to be trying to move people along IMHO.Hello GlobalMogul,We're very sorry for your experience feeling rushed and unwelcome at Tapastrie. This is completely antithetical to our philosophy whereby everyone should have the same dining experience, regardless of the time they enter the restaurant. The comments made about the kitchen closing are unacceptable, and this will serve as an instructional example for the service staff. If you are local or nearby, please visit us again so we can welcome you properly and do something to make up for this experience. Let Peggy or Tom know about this if you come back in.Thank you for the feedback and for the positive comments made in spite of the less than adequate hospitality.
