We had a quite dinner for two on the recommendation of a local who is a friend of the owner Stefano. He could not have been more helpful and one of the kitchen staff provided some translation about the dishes. All of which were great, and generous as we nearly rolled out the door. Quite cheap and a great place to try some of the local cuisine. Happily go back again. Well done Stefano.

Niche restaurant with 25 seats inside and 25 seats outside. Here you can taste first and second dishes of true Salento's and typical Roman cooking, prices are available to all. The place, made from a storic center ancient house, artistically represents th
We went there for dinner with some friends on a warm monday night. The location is in Strudà 's main square, facing the old castle (charming but cannot be visited). The restaurant is tiny but very tidy and cozy, high-vaulted and decorated inner rooms are very nice. We sat at a table outside but I do recommend the inside for its charming look.Food is typically local, from a very various and tasty appetizer (bruschettas with tomato/basil or fresh ricotta cheese with oil and pepper, aubergines rolls, fried pittule, grilled vegetables and a very tasty mint-flavoured omelette).First courses were really excellent and huge in quantity; I strongly recommend the sagne ncannulate (homemade twisted pasta) with tomato sauce and the ravioli stuffed with ricotta cheese and nuts. The owners Grazia and Giovanni are very warm and friendly, they really made us feel home. We'll be surely back to try the meat dishes!!!!

We have a second home in Salento and have tried many local restaurants. The standard is this area is high and hidden in the back streets of Martano is this absolute gem. We had dinner first as a couple and enjoyed every course, the risottoâs are excellent and I had fresh fish as part of the â catch of the dayâ. Delicious! My husband loves pizza and he believes this is the best ever! Thin crust, very tasty toppings.. 10 out of 10! The service is exceptional too and all so good that I returned 2 days later with 5 local lady friends for lunch. Everybody loved it, especially my Italian friends who loved the pasta dishes. Needless to say, we are returning again and now have âOperaâ down as a regular for the future.

About restaurant... itâs awful. Waiters do not speak English almost at all, we used to show pictures in google to describe what we wanted. When we ordered dishes, waiter used to walk with them around the restaurant and were asking other guests if they ordered it...(in the breakfast same thing happened with our drinks). As well in the beggining we ordered tea, waiter forgot about it, than we repeated that we are still waiting for our tea, they made really stupid face like âWHAT?â. Food was good. Overall disappointed with restaurant service. During the breakfast used to describe many times what is Caffe Latte... still two times they brought something different ...

We spent a week exploring the whole of Puglia and the meal we had here was by far the best!! Lovely, homemade local dishes and the biggest, juiciest steaks I've ever seen!! Our first real experience of Burrata cheese which was amazing and we could not find any so good anywhere in Puglia!

After reading the reviews our expectations were high & werenât met!! Although the food was reasonable...the service felt rushed & forced {bums on seats springs to mind} We will return to SAN Foca but wonât be eating here when we do!! Dear Samantha, we are sorry for the inconvenience and we truly hope you will come back at our restaurant to enjoy a relaxing dinner in San Foca.
Restaurant specialized in tartare and other fish/seafood dishes using the freshest ingredients of the local area.
Even though it isn't centric it is easy to find, its goal to serve local fish in a contemporary way, different from what it is usually found in Lecce's centro. I am vegetarian and was pleased to find an aubergine and mint tartare, I didn't feel the mint but I still enjoyed it, it made feel pleased and relaxed. Then I tried the whole grain fusilli with four vegetables, it was good but lacked the magic that the tartare had. I finished with a panna cotta. Go try it for a special moment. Thank you for your visit and for your extremely useful feedback! We'll work on improving our dishes to make you even happier next time you'll visit us!
