This is a really super restaurant just off the main street in Mattinata. The tables are spread along a quiet street and also up the steps toward the main street. The owner, Luigi is a lovely man who is genuinely delighted to welcome customers new and old. The food is excellent, generous portions at very reasonable prices. The restaurant is popular with Italians as well as visiting foreigners so reserve or be prepared to wait for a table at peak times. We ate here 3 times and each time was superb.

We went for lunch as some travel guides suggested the restaurant. To be honest, we were disappointed. Our son had an entrecote which was ok, but not special. Fries tasted like made with old oil. We had a seafood pasta for 2, which tasted good. BUT: service really bad! Waiters very posh, got water once and were never asked again. Pasta came nearly 30min!!! after the entrecote. Not tolerable! We will never go there again.

Great local pizzeria... excellent prices, particularly on the various pizze. Also liked their selection of beers. Outside seating makes for good people watching in a busy little corner that picks up as the night goes on.

We enjoyed a meal here, food is very decorative and contemporary and may not be what people expect, for example we got a prawn risotto, which consisted of a risotto with a prawn (head, eye and complete) on top of our dish with a separate raw piece of prawn on a bed of risotto. Well priced and a beautiful restaurant.

Perched on top of the cliff, this is the place to go on Matinatella Beach. The Antipasto di Mare should be the showcase for their kitchen and indeed, it's a complete showstopper (sorry for using the word show twice). Not just in volume but also in quality. Cozze ripiene, deep fried achovies, octopus with bean puree (!!), fish cakes, lots more, and even two local cheeses!! All of the highest quality, this alone is worth the trip to Lorenzo's. After that we had pasta with beans and cozze, unusual, original, very tasty. It was a perfect lunch, this is why love to travel Italy.

A really nice Irish pub, Irish beers and whiskeys, beautiful hardwood decor, super clean, homey with the best local dishes of pasta and grilled meats. Pub owner Lucia very charming and attentive. Indoor/outdoor dining so if its stuffy outside come inside for some a/c.

We had a wonderful relaxed and delicious lunch on the covered patio. Every dish was perfection! From the huge antipasti of local cheeses (burrata best ever tasted) cured meats, fried peppers, Fava beans with chicory etc...followed by incredibly delicious grilled octopus (2 10" whole tentacles per serving) perfectly cooked, and 4 enormous head on grilled shrimp, also grilled to perfection. House red by the litre served lightly chilled was excellent. Prices were very reasonable and the service was outstanding very friendly and efficient. A real gem of a find a little off the beaten track but we'll worth it. Family run restaurant that really cares about food and it's customers. Thank you Maria for taking such good care of us, we loved the experience and hope to get back soon.

The restaurant on the beach allows you to taste a cuisine full of aromas and flavors simple and genuine. The pleasure for innovation and gastronomic tradition are expressed in culinary proposals that are based mainly on excellent fish dishes (sea bass, sh
After travelling around the Gargano, we booked lunch at this restaurant located on a beach. The husband and wife who owned the restaurant were very pleasant and suggested seafood items from the menu. At one point they sat with us, shared a bottle of wine and we took photos. After lunch we given beach chairs and umbrellas to enjoy the rest of the day on the beach. This is a must see place if you are in the Gargano. The only issue is driving to the restaurant you need to carefully follow the signs down narrow winding roads but once you reach the restaurant there is a car park for you. Enjoy !!!

Mediterranean cuisine with typical dishes of the Gargano tradition. Seasonal menu. Fresh local fish.
The restaurant is a bit more modern and clean/minimalist than many of the others weâve been to in Italy which was refreshing. The waiter recommended the mixed antipasto selection - which for â¬15 was very good value. It came with six different dishes to try (all good size for two people to try each one). Included octopus, beef carpaccio, fave e cicorie, smoked salmon and more. We then ordered a couple of primi/secondi to share after which were also good - but not as good as the antipasto. Excellent red and rosé wine too.

The ambient was perfect. When we arrived, a beautiful table was given to us. First we ate âbruscettaâ-s which were also good...For main dish we took ravioli with cream made out of shrimps. Ravioli were nice, but cream was a little bit bland. We also ordered spagetti alle vongole: spagetti were overcooked and the selfish waiter was trying to prove us wrong. At the end, we ate cake made out of ricota cheese and chocolate that was very poor and hiddeous. The only thing that was very nice was limonchello at the end.
