Cafe und Restaurant an der Lahn gelegen mit Blick auf die Oberstadt
When we arrived in Marburg, we were looking for a payable opportunity to have dinner. When entering the place, it seemed very quiet and we were a bit worried about the quality. We were, however, very wrong! A very nice place to have dinner! The service is very friendly and the food delicious!

Best lebanese food I have tried in while. The price is also comparable or even lower than other döner places, but the taste and quality was very unexpectedly much better.
Nice Italiaan restaurant. I have chosen a dat dish: pasta gorgonzola. Very tasty. Good portion. I enjoyed less that the owner did find it necessary to speak italian all the time. It spoilt the lunch and gave me the feeling of a toerist trap. Which this restaurant is certainly not. I had to pay 4,50 for a "crodino" which was certainly high and out priced.

They always use fresh vegetables, best meat, small grown wines and not bulky wines. after 3 months they have found the very good path of cuisine. Fired 2 cooks therefor have their special level of quality! In the beginning they have to learn processes and nobody is perfect! But this is a real real enhancement for Marburg! Chapeau!

The owner himself served us and he was so friendly. We were seated outside on the side walk overlooking the historic market palce in the old town of Marburg. The pizza was excellent and so were the appetizers Burgundy snails and the Italian salad. If you look for good italian food do not look further...go to the Valente!!!

This is the first restaurant in Germany where I have seen actual Spanish tapas. Furthermore is a very good selection from all regions. And they have even tinto De verano for the hot summer. Regular prices of tapas 4,5, raciones for 9. About 18 euros per person with some drink. Very recommended if you like Spanish food.

that is forced to double as a normal "beim Griechen" kind of thing because in a provincial town like Marburg, gourmet restaurants have a very tough stand. I have never had Souvlaki or Gyros here, but their fresh fish (from the Frankfurt Grossmarkt) is always excellent, outstanding, and - expensive, while worth the price. Yesterday, swordfish was on the menu as well, also as part of the legendary Fish Platter for two or more, which now sells at â¬90 (â¬45 per person). It was excellent and indeed world class, including the labgustinos, the polpe, and the vegetables. Potatoes are okay and since they do a mean fried bread, I would recommend some substitution. I would say that the fish soup and the salad with fish are also very recommendable. Great prompt friendly service, fairly priced wine and a good atmosphere make this indeed one of the top five restaurants in Marburg.Vielen Dank für die Bewertung! :) A.Kallioras & Team Taverna Korfu
