We love Greek food and eat it often in a lot of different areas and restaurants. Michael's has outstanding pastitsio, dolmades, spinach pie, chicken kebobs, and Greek salad. We use to head to this area to eat pasta on The Hill.....Michael's is a much better alternative to those places!

Met old friends here for lunch. What a great experience. Appears to be a family run restaurant, and touts itself as Mediterranean, which it is. Their lunch menu is extensive, and very reasonable. You get a "starter" (there is a list that includes salads, and other appetizers), and an entrée for a fixed price of $9.95! I had the tilapia and it was delicious. My friend had the salmon and he raved about it. My wife had the lamb hamburger and she couldn't finish it (because it was so big). We were never hurried, and we sat there catching up for a long time. We'll be back. Great ambience and convenient parking also.

Olympia Kebob House & Taverna has been home to some of the best authentic Greek food in St. Louis. Voted the best gyro in town consistently each year.
My brother-in-law recommended Olympia (weâre visiting from CA) because he likes to support locally owned businesses and they have great food. We started with dolmades to share.... really well made and tasty. So delicious.I enjoyed souvlaki as an entree. The others chose gyros and kebabs. All were delicious and well-prepared, their tzatsiki (sp?) was the best Iâve ever had. For dessert we were thrilled with their baklava and rice pudding. Really wonderful flavors. They have two big parking lots across the street so all parking is easy.Inside and outside seating is available. We sat outside and it was the most delightful evening.Service was good, friendly, and attentive.Enjoy!

This restaurant is located in "downtown" Maplewood, on Manchester. It's very modern in its decor, yet also generally tastefully designed (ok, maybe not the pciture of the monkey). Service is excellent, but the star here is the fantastic food! Falafel, chicken thighs, tabbouleh, and a carrot dish were all great! Prices were a bit high, but well worth it for the high quality of the food/cooking. Portion sizes are fine, but not oversized (fine from my point of view). Overall, an outstanding restaurant!

There are so many tasty dishes on the menu, this is a great place to come with friends who like to try things and share with each other. Get some Sarma (stuffed grape leaves) and another small plate to share. For entrees, the portions are large, so you won't mind when your friends steal a forkful from your plate, besides, you'll want to taste a bite from their plate too! I usually get the Musakka, which is hearty and rich. This time, I tried the Firianda Kuzu, which is tender and juicy lamb served with potatoes and zucchini. The deliciously rich sauce is a little garlicy and a little peppery. It was just as good the next day when I ate the leftovers for lunch :) I have to complement our server, Jeff, too. He took excellent care of us.
