This is a small restaurant in the Hilton Garden Inn that simple never disappoints. In all honesty, itâs a top 2 reason why I book this hotel. The menu is complete with Mediterranean specialty dishes and innovative and upscale versions of traditional favorites. Iâve never been disappointed with anything Iâve ordered. The chicken kabobs are amazing and the French Onion Soup uniquely different and loaded with cheese. Service is always A+. Itâs attentive but not intrusive. And itâs nice to be recognized by staff when you return, especially since itâs been almost 6 weeks since I was here. Always a delight!
Massads is another but more casual offering by the Massad family (see Olives review), and is a block off the campus of Minnesota State University. When you enter the restaurant you are greeted with several selections of premade but fresh salads such as tabouli, pasta salad, beet salad, quinoa, caprese salad, etc. You can dash in, grab the size you wish and you are on your way. Made on site fresh salads are next. You can customize according to your tastes. My favorite is the fattoush (bread) salad. Freshly made pizzas are next-- try the Massad pizza with pickles. The last area has an array of onsite sandwiches that are made with lamb, chicken, beef or vegetarian. Staff will accommodate all requests. Najawa's cookies are legendary and the dessert bar is hard to resist. I follow The Weight watchers eating plan and this restaurant has it all--fresh, healthy and waist friendly if you wish! They have a great app which allows you to order and then use the drive thru for a quick pickup!
Located near the university, Shawarmania offers great Middle Eastern food at excellent prices. Order at the counter and they deliver to your table. Family owned and operated with roots in Palestine, Lebanon, Dubai and yes, Mankato. Just another example that the Mankato eating scene is becoming more international.
