We were lost one dark night and they were so helpful that we decided to come for lunch the next day. Excellent local cuisine - veal, pasta, salads - and good local wine. Would strongly recommend it. Easy to get to from Linguaglossa.

My wife and I had a fabulous dinner last night at this restaurant, which is a part of the beautiful Hotel Villa Neri Resort and Spa. The service was professional and friendly (thank you, Stefano). We were greeted with complimentary aperitifs and small appetizers. Then came the "amuse bouche," a delicious beef carpaccio. All dishes were presented beautifully. Highlights of the meal included a pumpkin and seafood risotto (light and very tasty) first plate and Amberjack raw and cooked preparation (pix included), We were so full that we did not even look at the dessert menu, but were served a lovely (complimentary) chopped pineapple and strawberry concoction (pix included) - which we managed to complete! This was a wow experience. Thank you!

This is an interesting place, lively with lots of locals meeting there - it seems mainly to chat, not to eat! The standard of the restaurant and the furniture is very simple, this is not a place where you enjoy a cosy dinner! But the pizza is quite good, prices are very cheap, so value for money definitely high.

This is a small, charming restaurant where you have to ring the bell to gain entry. This is because there is just one person serving, who, we believe to be the owner. He is attentive, charming and very helpful. The menu is small but all the food we had was delicious. A plate of thinly cut roast beef, pesto gnocchetti, four cheese penne with tomatoes, ravioli with pistachios from Bronte, chicken legs with a little spice and roast potatoes. Everything was steaming hot when it came out of the kitchen and despite the huge amounts of food we ordered (3 courses each!), we ate it all. The helpings were of a good size too! We had local Sicilian rose wine called La Dame - superb and not expensive. My son had a local Sicilian beer which was thick and hoppy and very good. We finished the meal with a complimentary little pastry which was reminiscent of a mince pie. A wonderful evening and this restaurant deserves 5 stars.

The atmosphere wants to renew the memory of a small village on the slopes of Etna, with its traditions and specialties. The Trattoria Linguagrossa is at your disposal to discover the typical Sicilian dishes, with home cooking, plenty of memory and taste.
Went there today after riding up to see Mt. Aetna. On the way down we stopped for lunch at this charming, well appointed local restaurant. We had anti pasta, then 2 pasta dishes and dessert - torte Mississippi, all of which was delicious. No dinner tonight. The restaurant is owned and run by a family. The Mom cooks and her son is in front at the cash register.Weâd go again if we return to Sicily.

Shalai Restaurant : an intimate and familiar atmosphere characterised by an essential design with retrò details where youâll taste a creative cuisine capable of enhancing the essence of the Sicilian tradition, taking you to a universe of tastes yet to be
This one starred restaurant is a gem in a culinary desert. The owner realised the talent of the cook (who comes from Linguaglossa) from his early days on and managed to support the kitchen to the first star. The menu was fantastic, with the highlight being the tagliata, an amazing dish! As way of background, the family also owns a butchery, which again they manage in a fashion and style that would easily fit a big city.

As noted by other reviewers, this is basically a take away with a few tables and pleasant English service. The chicken is grilled well but not that extraordinary! The rest of the food apart from the biscuits appears to be deep fried. Definitely not worth the not worth its current rating as a restaurant.

We had the most pleasant experience when visiting Vinetna Wine & Food. Frankly, we used recommendations from Tripadvisor to ease our choice of restaurant and can only applaud to these earlier inputs: The restaurant is easy to overlook in the street. The family is friendly and welcoming as seldom seen. The food is beyond any standards in taste and quality.Actually we were just heading there for a good meal and some finer wine but it turned out our expectations were superseded by far.On the evening we went there some religious procession took place in Linguaglossa calling spectators to the street. So also the family of Savoca Stefania that arrived back from outside :-)Anyway, we were given the choice of any table since we were the only guests there at that time.Stefania politely explained that all food was vegetarian which we accepted. Luckily, because this is probably the best vegetarian food I've tried so far! Not to speak about the wine selection presented well by Stefania´s brother. Absolutely worth the visit alone. What seemed especially welcoming is the way the family gathers around their guests, as us, as being accustomed friends of the house. With this we want to pass on our best recommendation for food, wine, service and hosting.

Among the best restaurants in the center of Taormina, our cuisine is based on Sicilian traditions and the delicacies of meat and fish. Tradition and romance make the five favorite arches in Taormina.
The presentation of all the courses was excellent. The service was top notch. Very friendly, fun and polite. Of course, the view is amazing and with the live music in the square made for a nice romantic anniversary dinner for us.Bonus was the number of meat dishes available compared to most restaurants in the area. The steak was outstanding as well as the Tiramisu dessert.Reserve a balcony table if you can. But the tables inside are also nice.

We visited Siculishh on the back of good TripAdvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. The menu was inventive and complimented by an excellent wine list. The owners and staff were welcoming and attentive. Our food was excellent with subtle flavours complimented by local Sicilian ingredients. An absolute must if you are in Taormina.
