we were kind of lost on silvester, could not find a restaurant that was not fully booked .When we walked in here,, the just put an extra table and two chairs in and said ,no probem, we have space'...The food was beautifull and very well made, tastefull and more then enough. The wine was good as well, service friendly and helpfull. we can recommend this, it is a place to come back to...we had a lovely evening with nice food. Prices are normal, the food very well, the staff friendly. A nice start of the new year !

... A small corner of paradise ... How nice to be lulled by the sweet notes of the selected music while enjoying a glass of wine that accompanies dishes of tradition and innovation in which Alex and Max compete by offering their passion in the pot . The s
We had dinner with three whole families. The owner greeted us and loved to talk about the food. It was a fantastic experience. We took his advise on the primi and segundi and we were not disappointed. The tastes were great. The location is in a historic village, which begs for a stroll before or after dinner. Finished with a delicious dessert. Unfortunately we missed the primary platter of the restaurant which is chocolate salami because they had run out. So we will have to come back one day. Bring enough cash because the dinner was pricey. But sooo worth it!

Hotel, Restaurant, Pizzeria on the shores of Lake Ceresio (Italy). Only 10 minutes from Lugano (Switzerland), 30 minutes from Varese and one hour from Milan.
The place is nice. Near the Swiss border, then cheaper than on the other side of the lake of Lugano. Food medium. Service unbelievably messy. Three different waiters come to ask 1) if I want a coffee(still eating spaghetti), 2) the second one puts a fork between me and the plate while still eating, 3) the third one ask me if I am ready for the bill( still eating ).

Not easy to park due to the position on the high circulation road to the swiss border.Managed by a chinese family, its a clean and well organized tratoria. The business menu is complete, good relation quality prices.Fast service and good dishes. They have the wood barbecue so the grill meat is really very tasty.Everything very positive.

We have been to Cristallo for the first time last year during a short trip in Lugano. We found it by coincidence while going to the market in Ponte Tresa. We went to eat there 3 of 5 nights we stayed in Lugano :) The food is great - we had everything, pizza, pasta and meat/fish dishes. Every meal was delicious. They don't bother with presenting the food much - but honestly, in this case we really don't care (my hubby is a chef himself). And you also always get a iced "house" limoncello at the end of your meal - a treat after everymeal. We have been back a couple of times during weekend shopping trips to Ponte Tresa/Lugano and have not been disappointed once. The team is also very friendly and makes sure you feel at home.

This is probably the best option for italian food in the whole region. Fish and seafood always fresh and tasty! Pizza is delicious and wood-fired. If you like pasta, try the pignata which is a terracotta pot with spaghetti and seafood in cherry tomatoes, garlic and herbs, covered with pizza bread and baked in the oven. Once served, the bread is cut open. They manage to prepare this even well 'al dente'! The salads are abundant and varied. Service is very friendly and prompt! Even the view over Lake Lugano is perfect - if you get a window table. In the summertime you can sit on the terrace on top of the building. Make sure you book your table under +39 0332/550311. Highly recommended!

I recently spent a week over the New Year. Staying in the villa next to this restaurant. Although we had a number of different places during our stay this was by far the most superior. Had the pleasure of spending New Year's Eve and was made so welcome by the staff.
