Homemade Italian food with delicacies from Parma and Emilia Romagna. Famous for Parmigiano Reggiano (the one and only Parmesan cheese) and Prosciutto di Parma (Parma ham). Parma is now ambassador of the Food Valley worldwide: the city has been declared th
I can't really compare with other Italian restaurants as my experience is quite limited, but based on my one visit so far I was very happy with the pasta dish I ordered. The dishes are made as per original recipe, e.g. the bolognese is not made with tomato as we are used to here, however this is how it has been done for centuries in Bologna. The pasta is fresh and the portions are generous. I came mid-afternoon at the weekend, where the place was packed and was worried that I would have to spend hours to get served. That was not the case, although it looked a bit messy behind the bar the staff were efficient and friendly, and I heard many customers thanking the chefs for their excellent food. Will definitely be coming back.

This tiny place on the outskirts of Lyngby seems to have a loyal following and an informal patron who sets a lively atmosphere. We had fine choriatiki and mains, and they were very willing to customize a plate for our little daughter. All in all a fine informal place with reasonable prices and I'd happily visit again.Ratings are inflating and to some 3/5 is becoming a stigma. I would have given 4/5 if food had been a tad better, including better bread and more variation in sides. A better Wine by the glass would also improvise.

Tavola Calda means "warm table" in Italian - a nice eatery with wonderful, rustic food in a familiar atmosphere only 10 minutes from Nørreport. Here we serve well authentic italian. The menu varies everyday, and we always use fresh ingredients, imported f
Well, this was an experience I used to work as a waitress and lets face it, we all need to sample the wine to make sure we know what we serve!BUT.....sampling in front of the guests and doing it so blatantly AND then making us seasick from their swaying around between the tables? Not that great!! The food was decent, although one course was basically deep fried veggies....not sure about that. But cheers - hope they got a better buzz than us Hi Natanya, thank you for your visit at Tavola Calda. Usually, we donât reply to reviews, but in this particular case we feel the need to. At Tavola Calda we are passionate about the wine and food that we serve. We would never want for a guest to drink a wine that is either cork or damaged in any other way. Thus, we taste small sips of each single wine that we open, hereby weâre doing our job as servers. This is a really important key point for us, and I do not want to excuse ourselves for doing our job and for actually caring about what we serve and caring for our customers. By us tasting the wine, each customer should see our genuine interest in them having a great experience at Tavola Calda. We don't want to hide anything. We expect that our guests knows and trust that we know what we are doing. This is not only customarily for proper Italian restaurants but for all kinds. Tasting small sips of wine during service (and being used to this) does NOT make an experienced waiter drunk. During the night that you were here, there was nothing being dropped, bumped into and no sailing around. At Tavola Calda, we waiters are not just part of some big machine, we care about what we do and the people we serve. Therefore we bring our personalities into the serving. We are people with feelings and opinions. We laugh, talk and have a good time with our guests. A waiter laughing and smiling does not equal a drunk waiter. Not only did you film and take photos of us without our permission or our knowing, you also post this online. It is so out of line and not only is it illegal - it is also wildly inappropriate and objectifying. We had pretty much a full house this particular night - none of the other tables had the experience that we were drunk or even close to being. So please, to future customers - understand that yes we taste the wine while working, with the best interests for our guests in mind, and because we care. We never had and never will be drunk while working. With regards, Davide (chef and owner) and Mathilde (restaurant manager, and the waiter that you've been filming and photographed without my knowing or permission).
