My husband and I chose the Taverna Michalis because there were only positive reviews about it on Tripadvisor. No disappointment, we ended up having two dinners there while being at Tinos Town for two days. Every dish was prepared with love and with the fresh produce from the family farm or the locals. We ordered the Tinian pasta two nights in a row. Its tasty sauce went well with the sun-dried tomato and homemade sausage. We couldn't stop eating it even though we were full. We also tried the cucumber and tomato salad. Every bite was fresh. Do not miss the green olives, which have unique flavor and were from the family farm. The grilled feta cheese was a special dish to try. The service was friendly and the staff gave us great advice to help us to choose the right dish.

I avoided going to Malamatenia despite it being a number one simply because of not-so-amazing recent reviews. However, as I wasn't entirely impressed with other tavernas during my stay in Tinos, I thought I would give it a go on my last night.I can honestly say this was the best meal I have had in Tinos. Everything worked: the service was brilliant, the setting was lovely and the food was amazing. The waiter was great with his suggestions and didn't allow me to order everything from the menu (I always order way too much than I can eat!).Lovely place, it brought my faith back in Tinos cooking.

In Ktikados location, Drossia is one of the few options in the village. We ordered the traditional rabbit stew ( stifado) which was highly enjoyable, traditional local omelette ( french fries were the main attraction of the dish which didn't impress me) and a nice salad. The view was great. Even though the personnel was very responsive it seems that their cell phones were monopolizing their interest which doesn't leave the best impression. The prices were reasonable if not cheap. If you return from an excursion from Volakas or the surrounding villages it is a much better option than staying for lunch/ dinner in the former or in Tinos capital.

All I can say is if you are tired of the regular greek taverna food then this place will spark your fancy. It has the basics but they are done differently. Also the service is different. You will not have to wait 30 mins to order. They are up on you like you are in NYC. Can I tell you this place is like NO other place on any of the Cyclades. Try it and you will love it. They have good variety and it's all made to order, not from frozen or refrigerated dishes as you will find at most tavernas. Keep up the good work!

In this restaurant I had one of the best meals I've ever tasted in my life.The staff is truly heartwarming and the chef is amazing!The raw material of the dishes is A class since everything tasted so good and fresh! What is also amazing about this restaurant is the fact that while everything is top quality they maintain their prices very reasonable.We visited many times and each time we were very excited to eat there.Eating at Gi Ouranos Thalassa is definitely one of the reasons we are planning on visiting Tinos again.

Excellent greek food, propably the best we had in Tinos all times we visited the island. We had pasta and mix grill (piatela kreatikwn). Great location, the decor and enviroment were nice and the staff very kind, helpful and friendly. We will definitely visit Myrtilo again when we return to Tinos.

Excellent Greek cuisine in Kionia of Tinos. In a magnificent courtyard on the seafront, we enjoyed homemade food with fresh ingredients in a very relaxed and friendly environment. Tasty traditional appetizers, fresh salads, as well as a wide variety of meat and vegetarian main dishes, were perfectly balanced in terms of quantity, taste and quality. Fried meatballs, beef stew in tomato sauce, grilled sardines, pork casserole with apple and orange sauce, as well as local specialties (furtalia egg omelet with specialty Tinos sausage) are some of the dishes you should try on Nostos. Finally Nostos at Kionia became our favorite choice for lunch or dinner with top notch quality, smiling service and reasonable prices. Thank you .. P.S. Just let Panagiotis, Michalis, Iosif suggest and guide you through the menu and daily dishes and just ENJOY !!!!
