Only restaurant in Kilkenny cooking in Charcoal. Food very fresh and tasty. Come in and be amazed.
Very tasty food straight from the grill! Weâve never been disappointed with our meals and have left each visit looking forward to returning. Itâs a bit of a âno frillsâ restaurant but this makes it relaxed and easy going. I enjoy the chicken peri peri, husband goes for the mixed grill and the chicken fillet burgers are a winner for the kids. Parking can be a bit tricky depending on when youâre going, just across the street from mc Donagh junction shopping center though. Would highly recommended for a relaxed tasty family meal.

The Grapevine Tapas Bar is Kilkenny's favourite casual dining venue.Great food, music and service.
After 900pm on a Wednesday there wsnt much open. The service was friendly and the food was fine- not great, but frankly when I think of Ireland Tapas isnt what comes to mind. Had a selection of things from shrimp to crostini to greek salad to grilled veggies and a couple more. 5 in total + bottle of wine for 64e. We left full. No real complaints just werent wowed by anything we ate

We were recommended to go here for a drink by our Airbnb hosts as they said that the pub part, âCarollâsâ had recently reopened. We had such a lovely evening, the atmosphere was great and there was even someone in there playing a guitar and singing. We discovered that they did food as âToastâ, previously situated around the corner, so we decided to nurse our hangovers with a breakfast...an excellent decision. The food was lovely, well presented and we didnât have to wait long. The staff were really friendly made us feel at home. We even found that the atmosphere, although different from the night before, was just as lovely and welcoming. We returned a couple of days later and had the burrito.....again, superb, fresh and filling! If, or when, we return to Thomastown weâll definitely be back for drinks in the evening and a cure in the morning ;-)Many thanks.
Stopped in for a midweek bite. Good range of pizza and pasta. Big portions and value for money. Healthy options would be a nice addition - maybe a side salad, or pizza/salad combo. Service was fine. On our visit there was a kids party so the noise was deafening despite us sitting at the opposite end of restaurant. Take away available so a handy alternative to dining in.
