Lucio's Italian Restaurant was established in Paddington in 1983 and enjoys a remarkable reputation for exceptional Italian food and magnificent Australian Art. "Food and art for me is like the air that I breathe," says Lucio Galletto OAM. "The combinatio
I donât like leaving bad reviews and so I thought a lot about doing this, but having had a couple of experiences lately where the great reviews donât match the experience, I donât understand the positive reviews for this restaurant. I had dinner here with my friends, one of the entree pastas was on the much too chewy side of al dente, the prawns were on the verge of not being fresh; the fish was ok but the Jerusalem artichokes it was served with were rubbery on the outside and slightly slimy on the inside - they tasted like they had been reheated several times. The duck was grey and over cooked. The dessert list was unappetising so none of us ordered any. The service was overbearing, and the restaurant itself was too brightly lit. It was terribly overpriced for what was significantly below average food. The nicest thing was the outside entrance, which was pretty. We had tried to eat there a few times before and it was fully booked, and the night they had a table available the restaurant filled up so it seems pretty popular, but I really donât understand why.Thank you for your feedback Aussie 11.I am sorry you have had some recent bad experiences, apparently including your meal at Lucioâs.As you mentioned the majority reviews of our restaurant have been great, and for good reason. Our hard working staff in the kitchen and on the floor are in this industry and in our restaurant to bring the best experience possible to all of our guests. Your review is so very disappointing for all of us.Your criticism of our food is completely at odds with current dinerâs comments and our commitment to freshness & quality, but of course mistakes can happen. Our staff would have been more than happy to replace or offer an alternative to any dish, however it would seem in this instance there was very little you were happy with. For that we are sorry but ultimately it is clear we are not the restaurant for you and we wish you happier dining elsewhere.RegardsSally Galletto

Iâve been living in the neighborhood for six months now, and I canât believe I didnât come here sooner! It is surprisingly good, for a very reasonable price! The owner is there to interact with customers, which shows how the business is ran. We ordered mix platter for 2 which can easily serve 4. Great place to go with friends and family!

Take your tastebuds to Spain at Del Punto! Opposite Randwick Ritz Cinema in The Spot, Del Punto is known for our tasty tapas menu, our delicious selection of Sangrias & Cocktails and signature traditional Paella.
Del Punto is a quaint little tapas bar opposite the cinema in The Spot in Randwick. Monique was our delightful and most helpful waitress. Best tapas Iâve ever had by a country mile - and Iâve had a lot of tapas. Went with the El Camino to share between two. 9 dishes and each one was unique and distinctly delicious. Heirloom tomato and feta saladPotato and egg frittatachorizo and prawn skewersBaby octopus; paella balls; meatballs; patatas bravas; chicken skewers, beef parcels. We ordered a bottle of the Verdejo which was delicious also. My husband had the affogato for dessert and chose the Khalua liquor. He said it was very good also. Great little spot, really relaxed atmosphere and top class food. Donât miss out if youâre in Randwick. Thanks for your detailed review! We hope to see you back in here again soon.

Had dinner here on a Monday night ... restaurant was almost empty so lacked ambience and decor needs some updating as a bit dated. Had a wagyu rump ... was good but not memorable. Service was attentive as you would expect for a quiet night. Overall itâs OK but is in need of something to make it memorable. Respectable prices though. Not bad, not great ... average.

Modern, elegant wine bar in the heart of Double Bay, with delicious food using the best local produce, exceptional wines and friendly service.
I was lucky enough to attend a third birthday dinner for Bibo Wine Bar this week. Not only do they have a highly original and unique selection of fabulous wines but these pair so effortlessly with their delicious food menu. Everything is a perfect match.Dinner was a selection of share plates starting with entree style smoked salmon pâté, the incredibly delicious scallop cru & finger lime, runner bean fitters, and the piri piri aubergine and the mouth watering Flambé chorizo. This was followed by the equally mouth watering main size Suckling Pig with Fennel, persimmon & pomegranate. We finished this with a quince & bergamot tart followed my mini Portuguese tarts straight out of the oven. All of this was with matching wines by the glass perfectly chosen from Portugal to Australia. All in all this was a wonderful evening. I would highly recommend Bibo Wine Bar for anything from a special dinner for two to a large group booking for a celebration. Either way you will be looked after and will have a truly special dinning experience.

Nomad is a cellar door in the city where the food and wine showcase the best local produce grown and raised by Australian farmers, grape growers and wine makers. Nomad's menu draws on the flavours of the Mediterranean using local Australian ingredients to
This was a return visit to Nomad, the first some years ago and the food was very well presented and tasty and as good as the first visit, perhaps better. The service was a little tardy although acceptable if you were not short for time. Although we had a variety of dishes no attempt was made to replace plates which showed some lack of attention to detail. An interesting observation was a wine waiter that sampled each bottle of wine before delivering to the table. Perhaps that is the way it is done although some might suggest the customer should do the checking.Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.Feedback, whether it is good or bad is always appreciated. We rely upon this to show us where we are doing well or where we may need improvement. We are pleased you enjoyed your overall experience with us.Thanks again.

An Italian Osteria offering a selection of antipasto, spuntini and home made pasta. Weekly specials include - Monday's pasta e vino $20, Tuesday's braise e barbera $25, Wednesday's spit roast e sangiovese $25 and weekend lunch special of pasta e vino $20
I had dinner here last night to coincide with their new menu with one of my closest friends. We have both been coming here for a few years and consider it to be one of the best Italian restaurants in Sydney. Again last night we were impressed with everything from the friendly service right through to the cocktails to the delicious food and wines. It is truly rare for a restaurant to consistently deliver day-in-day-out, week-in-week-out month after month. A strong traditional Italian menu with daily specials. Baccomatto Osteria is one of these restaurants and you will be impressed. Strongly advise making a booking from mid week through to the weekends.

Rainy Sunday morning we turned up at Kepos Street Kitchen which was full. Friendly host offered us an umbrella to take to their partner cafe (Kepos and Co) a few doors away. We were not disappointed. K&Co is set in a delightful open courtyard overlooking cascading flowers, a pool and stone walls with spacious outdoor tables. Efficient, professional staff and top class coffee. Try the Shakshuka eggs for breakfast - you'll want to go back. We certainly will, next time in the area.

This is a really good Lebanese restaurant, authentic, tasty and fresh. It is located just down the street from the Belvoir Theatre and great for a pre-show meal, however its a short walk up a really steep hill to the theatre. Not great if you have a fully belly of food!
