A new-ish place when we visited in Summer 2017, I think (the online listing was for another restaurant). Its a really stylish building with a lovely courtyard area with open kitchen, in what appears to be a bit of an up and coming area of Katowice. There are a few hipster places in the area. The food was perfectly OK, but didn't quite live up to the promise of the menu or of the surroundings. Perhaps it will settle down once they've been open a bit longer

Osteria Le Botti is a little restaurant serving regional Italian specialties, homemade Italian cuisine based on original Italian products, including DOP/IGP. The restaurant operates in Tychy since 2012. The menu is based on classic Italian dishes, starter
It was my second time I havevisited this establishment.Greeting was o key but not exceptional.Young lady hostess was courteous a bit smile and enthusiasm will definitely help.I had meal of the day.The minestrone soup was testy with lot of mix chunks of variety of veggies.Second plate was pasta dish.I donât remember the name but pasta was swimming in oil sausage sauce. It was tasty but definitely too greasy.Overall small nice place worth to visit.I bet Pizza was much better choice.Thank you for your review. Glad to hear that minestrone soup was tasty. We suppose you ordered some traditional pasta with sausage from Umbria - pasta alla Norcina, but we are not sure. It's a specific dish, but it certainly does not swim in a greasy sauce. Maybe next time we can recommend you something else, based on veggies? You can always ask, we will help to chose. Hope see you next time.

Very interesting menu with a great variety of options to choose from, appetizers, main courses, meze....there is something for everybody here: vegetarian, vegan, meat lovers and seafood lovers. Great food, super-cool ambience, excellent service. The price is in the range of the "very good restaurants", and i believe this is among the restaurants that provide value for money! As it is often the case, you have the best at your last day of your trip! After 5 days in Katowice, I accidentally ended up at Amfora for a "quick bite" after business meetings and on the way to the airport....Did not even look at the place, but once inside i realised i stepped into one of the best restaurant in Katowice. The place is brand new, decorated with style but in a discreet way: the result is a cool atmosphere that makes you feel cozy, homey and comfy. The menu is great, plenty of Mediterrranean and exotic stuff (Lebanese, Armenian, Turkish...you name it). The wine list is great and very affordable (especially compared to other establishment in the area). I personally had octopus salad (wow!), calamari and roasted fish....and a bottle of very decent wine.Very professional but friendly service tops it up. Congratulations and good luck to this new establishment. It is a pity I discovered it only at the last minute....i need to come back...

Do not be fooled - the waitress can deceive you. First, she will tell you that you will need to wait 20 minutes for a meal, and then did not even come to say that the kitchen needs more time. 45 minutes of waiting for a burned pizza?!? In my opinion, the restaurant is badly managed, if it comes to such a situation and no-one is able to say the word "sorry" without asking for attention.

Your culinary trip starts here! A warm evening, you and your friends are sitting at the table, next to you there's a glass of wine which gives you a lot of pleasure. And then there are so many delicious tapas that you can't stop eating.
Me and my girlfriend went there on tripadvisor recommendation and thouroughly enjoyed it, the hostess was incredibly polite and helpful, as well as giving great recomandations based on a vast knowledge of the menu and the wines. The atmosphere was laid back and relaxed. We had the pan y tortilla and patatas bravas amongst other tapas dishes and highly recommend those! The wine, a nice fruity tempranillo complemented the whole meal. Finished of with desserts of crema catalana and a chocolate fondant which were brilliant!

I was looking forward to some downtime with a pizza and a carafe of wine; Basiliana could offer me a table with a limited time: 19:55 when I arrived to 20:45 when they had a reservation - fair enough, I was happy to agree and was pacing myself accordingly. The pizza was OK, verging on quite good, and the wine was fine. However; at 20:30 they told me the reservation group had arrived and I had to leave. They were obviously friends of the staff, so I was simply chucked out early...Unless you are a) Polish and b) friendly with the staff, I suggest you avoid this place. The food isn't anywhere near good enough to compensate for the unpleasant attitude.

Location is very special, in a great park next to the lake. But also inside there is a very romantic atmosphere, open fire and piano music. Good place to meet friends or for business. I certainly would recommend the steaks, especially the one from Argentina and they have a very interesting wine card. Also the service very helpful and smiling. My next trip to Katowice will definetely include a visite to La Cantine, recommended!!

I have been impressed each time I have visited this place! One of my favorite restaurants not only in Poland but in all of Europe!! Food was excellent, choice of wines superb. On top of it all there is live piano being played most days. Allow this for a modest price. Visit this place, you won't be disappointed. Five stars!!

On the first floor of an office/ hotel complex it is a reasonable and quite busy venue. The food is predominantly Italian, cooked with a Polish style. However who prepares a traditional tiramisu without coffee? It's just a creamy chocolate trifle...â¦.
