Amongst the pavements of Amorgosâs Chora, you may find this restaurant.It was referred to us by our local host and we quickly understood the reason.All the dishes weâve ordered came quickly, with impeccable taste and all freshly made. Ntakos salad was crispy and tasty, the meats were nicely done and tender, as well as the little cheese pies with the local cheese named ksinomitzithra.Definitely worth visiting as the waiters are also a nice add-on, being approachable, friendly and helpful.

We ate here twice during our stay. A busy place with typical taverna style food. They have a large menu of Greek specialities but the waitress has a list of what is available so prepare for your choice to be "off". We had moussaka, grilled squid, chicken in the oven and Kleftiko which was the best I had this trip, absolutely loaded with meat.Good local wine and a free raki at the end of the meal. The waitress even brings one for herself.Not sophisticated but good Greek home cooked stuff. Recommended.

We tried this restaurant after having read incredibly positive reviews. Suggested as the best restaurant in Amorgos, we came here for a quite early dinner, when many tables were still free and there was no pressure or chaos.We waited a while to get someone to take our orders, and this already gave us a glimpse of what the service was. The starters came many minutes apart, so I had to start eating alone, while my boyfriend was still waiting for his starter to arrive. The main dishes came simultaneously. However, during the dinner, my boyfriend had to napkin.The food was food. The fish is fresh and the fish itself is a good combination of tradition ingredients and a modern twist.The service doesn't compare with the food, the location and the prices at all.In my opinion, a good service can make an average food very good, but and average service is never compensated by good food.

This place is located in a narrow cobbled atmospheric street in Chora. Service was friendly. Food was fresh, well presented and tasty and represented the best of Greek island mediterranean food. Probably the best we had while in Amorgos for a week. Strongly recommended

Mythos is always our go-to restaurant in Katapola as we love the friendly, welcoming atmosphere, great food and central location for watching the world go by in the beautiful bay of Katapola.We have enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner here. In fact, our first meal upon arrival in Amorgos and our last one before we left were both at Mythos!Our final lunch was wonderful - a beautifully grilled fresh fish which i chose from the selection brought to our table.Georgia and her family always make us welcome and we look forward to sitting in the courtyard, with beautiful hearty food and friendly chatter all year long!This restaurant is the heart of the harbour and we canât wait to go back next year.Have a great summer everyone at Mythos!

The menu is not typical Greek taverna fare. The dishes are more sophisticated and are created by chef/owner Vangelis who has a real love for his job. The atmosphere is friendly and the service is excellent. There is always something interesting to watch at the quayside opposite the restaurant.

Had a late lunch at this typical family place on the front. The usual taverna menu. We chose a few dishes - Taramasalata, meatballs, sardines, Greek salad. All well prepared and served by a pleasant young waitress. A glass of the local honey raki liqueur to finish.Recommended.

I read so many good reviews about this place and had high expectations. The location is perfect and the staff really friendly. But the food was not what I had hoped. Had the lemon chicken and it was bland in flavor. Will I go back? Maybe -but then only for a glass of wine and the view.
