Small neighborhood resturant/bar in Jumilla, Region of Murcia, Spain Visited Jumilla recently (April, 2011) and had a hard time finding much information on Jumilla, trying to share our experiences in Jumilla. Great small city with lots of history and good
The personal attention we got from the owner (Faustino) was wonderful. He explained their typical local simple Spanish cusine and gave us a few small samples of his wine so we could decide which we would like to drink. We ate there twice. The first night we were very tired from our trip and just want a light meal. We ate several tapas that were very good but the bocadito made with very fresh cod fish and a light batter on the top was our favorite. The next afternoon we called and requested a paella meal for five. We took our, retired in Jumilla, from the UK, Jumilla local guides (Sue & John Walker) there and enjoyed a traditional Jumilla, Spain paella. It was delicious! The atmosphere was so nice and we just felt like we one of the locals. We will definitely return to Nuestro Bar on our return trip to Jumilla.
-restaurant focused as Italian commercially but with international cuisine, healthy and natural, our chef works without additives, a healthy and friendly food. -restaurante enfocado como italiano comercialmente pero con cocina internacional ,sana y natura
We were charged 175 Euros for 7 people (25 Euros per head) without an itemised bill, the amount was written on the back of an envelope. We were somewhat naive as we paid in cash and did not see any till transactions. 4 of the dinners only ate a pizza and had two drinks (small ones), and only 4 people had a starter with only two a dessert, so 25 Euros each we felt was very expensive for Jumilla. The food though was good, so if you want decent Italian food and want to Pay City prices then this is the restaurant for you.

What can be said? Excellent paella cooked the traditional way with dried vine cuttings, open flame and prepared to perfection! From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted and the decor was "chic"! Starters were absolutely delightful, the paella was delicious and the dessert was so refreshing and coffee was served with a heavenly sweet! This is a "must go" for anyone in the area whether or not you are visiting any wineries. We loved it. We will be back! Nos encantó. Volveremos!

Excellent lively regional restaurant, offering wide variety of tasteful different tapas and main courses. Wonderful full bodied regional wine that goes so well with the food. Service is very friendly. What a pleasure spending an evening eating here! Certainly one of my favourite places in the region. Good price/quality ratio. Compliment for the excellent service...

The owner(?) was delighted to explain the different varieties of local wine (DoC Jumilla) and explained some unique shapes of a couple of bottles. She suggested a young wine to start and a much thicker, heavier wine to follow. She asked if we wanted tapas but we refused as we had our eyes on another restaurant. As we were drinking, unasked (and uncharged) she brought us a plate of crisps to nibble. All conducted in Spanish - no English offered.

We stopped for lunch while visiting the wineries in the area. Small unassuming place but really good tapas and good wines recommended by the staff. We went rather late so were the only ones there. Communication was via google translate and lots of pointing but the result was fantastic food. We were offered sweet wine gratis at the end of the meal which was delicious. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Founded on 1984 It is the perfect kitchen of the Jumilla Gastronomy: âfried cheese with tomatoâ, âgazpacho jumillanoâ, âmixing of typical white pudding and tender garlicsâ, âhake with fresh cheeseâ, fried âcabritoâ, âveal sirloinâ with the Route of Wine s
An amazing experience, service was excellent and the range of food and wines incredible. All local which added to the enjoyment. We ate early, for Spain, on a Thursday evening and had the restaurant to ourselves. Can't recommend highly enough.I must add that we visited the town due to winning the 'Experiencia' on a wine tasting day, but we would have been happy to have paid and hope to return.

Outstanding food so lucky to have been directed to it.The place is an Art museum of paintings and antiques which serve to compliment and complete a perfect meal, and we only had the menu of the day at â¬16 including drink and coffee. We will return as the sisters whose business it belongs too really know how to make a difference to a day.Brilliant Thank you very much for taking your time and write an opinion like this, it's a pleasure reading it, because we can see our work is done in the way we want. We always make changes with each season, so you can try different courses each visit. Hope we see again.
