This restaurant used to be a great place, the only good things are that the service is still good, the toilet is more spacious and the kitchen is open. The food is terrible. Moules Mediterranee arrived with a large amount of moules but a terrible glutinous tasteless sauce slapped on top. The Chefs salad was no better, yet again with a non descript glob of sauce. The restaurant was not busy which said a lot. Come on get back to decent food.

Fascinated by the simple and greedy products stemming from our region, we claim a kitchen without fibs, make for people full of humors and temperaments which adulate the seasons and the grills in vine shoots ...
First visit to Gruissan having meant to get here for last 10 years. We'll certainly be re-visiting and maybe this Restuarant too. Good feel inside and out with no pretentions, fairly basic menu but so what? The specials were what we partook of and didn't regret it at all! My wife had the mullet which was superb - cooked to perfection and I had the 'bourdin' which was a mystery to me on ordering but turned out to be a type of black pudding - it was a surprise to me but with my new spirit of French food 'just go for it and enjoy' (if possible) was very well worth it. Well cooked and very tasty.Very pleasant Restuarant and amiable staff - I'd certainly recommend and will visit again.

We came here for 2nd time with friends all settling for the 18 euro menu. Starters and mains are huge so much so that it was a struggle to eat the enormous profiteroles for desert! Great value and good quality food and service good, if not what you'd normally expect in a resort restaurant. Don't be put off by its decoration and position out of the sun!

During a wonderfully warm November afternoon this place with its garden dining quickly filled. We opted for the menu du jour, which arrived quickly and tasted great; a velouté of vegetables, simple and substantial salad, followed by fillet mignon and finally crème brûlée. Great food and great service with a friendly smile and banter.

Our restaurant is specialized in sea food and regional wines.Original creations with provençal sents.Open kitchen. Plancha grilled fresh products from the sea and the land.Tapas & Wine bar.
Very exciting pairings of unexpected tastes with seafood. If you are dining indoors you are seated not too far from the (open) kitchen, so you have a chance to see the chefs at work. The calamari came with several small orange slices that the server recommended should be cut into small bits to accompany each bite of the calamari â an excellent recommendation â tempted to try it at home. Others in our party had the dorade and the mullet â both also good for the main dish. For the starters â there were razor clams, wonderfully seasoned, coquilles St Jacques, and sliced pork. Superb. We Thank you for your note and such a nice feed back.We hope to see you back soon.

We have eaten lunch and dinner here, enjoyed it greatly, but my favorite is ordering the take-away mussels with roquefort sauce, which we then ate at the beach with some cold Rosé!

We stopped here by chance on a drive from Barcelona to Marseille and picked this restaurant because it looked charming. Not only was it charming, the food (mostly seafood) was fresh and deliciously prepared. The service could not have been friendlier, with the owner even inviting us for a drink after lunch. Off the beaten path (unless you're staying in Gruissan), but worth the detour.

We had lunch here with friends on 25 April. We chose the restaurant based on previous reviews. On a sunny day the location is perfect, right along the quay side. The restaurant doesn't look much from the outside but it is very clean and the hostess could not have been more friendly. The menu is not long but what they do is lovely. Our party ate the home made burgers, the salad and one had the Moules. All of us were pleased. The prices were very reasonable at roughly 10Euro per dish.Great location, lovely food and perfect hostess.Recommended.Cher Muzzer,Merci à tous pour votre gentillesse!!!!!!!Ce fût un agréable moment en votre compagnie!!!Have good holidays in Gruissan and see you soon!!!!!ThanksDamien et Christelle

It looks like the typical beach/sea place with a terrace. I didn't expect normal prices for drinks and good food at a reasonable rate. My "51" was excellent, the Rosé very good and the beef tartare as it should be. While the view is not the best (parking and camper lot), at least one sees the sea. The place is hopping at night!

We dined here twice. Once for dinner then the next day for lunch. Both meals were excellent, well thought out and constructed, with interesting textures and tastes. Well seasoned too. The welcome and service are second to none. Greatly enjoyed and thoroughly reccomended. Read more on our food and travel blog : chocolatehunters
