Eight of us met here for a family dinner. We had a variety of appetizers, entrees and deserts. Everything we had was very good. The service was terrific and the prices were fair. Looking forward to returning.

Casual restaurant serving ethnic inspired cuisine from the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
We dined at Park Plates for the first time yesterday evening. We really enjoyed the restaurant! Food was great, love the Mediterranean variety, healthy and delicious. The portion sizes were right on, not crazy quantities. Canât wait to come back and experience the menu during different seasons of the year. Our waitress was awesome as well as the hostess. The restaurant is lovely, cozy, warm, quiet and friendly vibe. We had a wonderful meal and chatted with our friends until close to 10pm. Will definitely be going back.

My wife and I were attending a concert at the Keswick Theater (Dec. 9 2016) - David Crosby & Friends. Who, by the way, were AMAZING! Voices of angels and great musicians. Ugh, I digress. There is not a large variety of restaurants near the theater, so we went to Athena. Let me just say, the best aspect of this place... was the parking. Oh the food and service.... I will now explain. We had reservations and were promptly seated. Gee, I didn't know that a large paper table cloth, you know, the kind that's used in a doctor's office table, was so classy. Not. We brought our own wine so we were given wine glasses and they opened our bottle. The wine glasses looked like someone with dirty, oily fingers wiped them down. They were disgusting and I asked for new ones, which were better, but still not even close to clear. Well that matched the diner-like silverware wrapped in a paper napkin. The menu was typical Greek, and we ordered Baba Ganoush for an app, Givetsi (lamb and orzo casserole) and Shish Kabob of 'Filet Mignon' and vegetables over rice. Food: The Baba Ganoush was wonderfully forgetful and boring - almost completely lacking flavor. But, the pita bread was warm and tasted great. Thumbs up for the bread, thumbs down for the Baba ganoush. The Givetsi was mediocre at best. The pieces of lamb were quite small and were overwhelmed by the orzo and sauce. The menu said 'slices of lamb', not little pieces. Another disappointment. The Shish kababs were fairly good - hard to mess that up - beef and veggies on a stick. But... there's no way that was filet mignon. I'd say more like sirloin, not filet. Meh, another forgetful dish. The service: During the meal, they twice tried to serve us something ordered from another table. They looked confused. The place was crowded, so the novice-like, but friendly staff were probably overwhelmed. Well, before we sat down, I figured on dessert and coffee. No way. Due to... how long it took to get served, and figuring the quality of dessert and coffee would probably match the inferior character of the meal, we just paid and left. Oh and of course getting the check took some doing. Oh, one more beauty... there's a $3.50 corking fee - for a place that doesn't serve alcohol. Wonderful. That's it. A totally disappointing experience and we will NEVER return to that place again. We recommend that you don't either.

I LOVE this restaurant! Fabulous middle eastern food. Usually have the stuffed cabbage, but today we were there for lunch. Shared the Mazah with my sister. Didn't leave a drop. Got the Apple strudel and the baklava. To die for. The waitress couldn't have been more accommodating. We brought my Aunt who was in a wheelchair. Can't wait to come back.

We can't rave enough about Mirna's: About its looooong list of dinner specials, its generous portions, Its friendly and attentive wait staff and busboys. To illustrate, we consumed half a plate of pasta and took the balance home which fed two the next night. And that was only one of several delicious dishes, not to mention a complimentary Caesar's salad that we were treated to before our order arrived. We look forward to returning soon. Fish dishes delicious although they might benefit from a little less sauce.
