Great Middle-Eastern food at a great price. Moderately priced and a decent local atmosphere. Good service. Great when you feel like going out to eat, but don't want to venture too far (if you live in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh, that is).

We have visited Meriterrano several times over the past 2 years. We like the warm, cozy atmosphere, we have been pleased with our food, and we love the BYOB (which frankly, is a major draw for us). Our most recent visit was Saturday. We were dining with our 3 young children so we made an early reservation (6:00) and arrived even earlier (5:30). The restaurant was empty, which was fine by us (though maybe a bad sign on a Saturday evening?). We were seated, and our wine opened, promptly. The server did not have true children's cups but did at least bring coffee cups with lids and straws which we appreciated. I am vegan and the waiter was very helpful and accomodating; he helped me make a choice and was very gracious in taking my special requests. I was pleased with my options, and my food (portobello on a pita) was delicious. There is no children's menu, but that is not typically a problem as my kids can always find something to eat. Two of my children shared a pizza- they enjoyed it and the size was just right. My other child just wanted a plate of plain noodles with some chicken (there is a greek pasta dish on the menu so we knew that there were noodes in the kitchen and additional chicken can be added to salads for $4, so we're good). The waiter understood that we wanted plain noodles and they were served- kid happy. We were disappointed when the check arrived that my 4 year old's plate of plain noodes with a few tiny pieces of chicken was charged as the regular adult Greek Pasta entree at $18. I get it that the waiter probably didn't have a 'code' for "kids pasta" since the restaurant doesn't have a kids menu. And he did adjust the price by $4 when we asked about it. Just word of warning if dining here with kids- there are no menu items for kids and unless your kid will eat a full adult entree, your options are very limited.

Visited there today. New Menu, but very, very limited. I ordered a California Cobb salad with chicken. It was mostly greens, my wife ordered the chicken fajita wrap with a side salad, it was mostly greens.Based on this experience we not plan to return. I was told NPL no longer owns the restaurant/bar.

Morcilla offers Spanish inspired cuisine, including house-made charcuterie and family style dishes. We have a full bar with craft cocktails and draft beer. The wine program is Spanish focused wine list with a heavy concentration of sherry and vermouth.
Weâve been here in three occasions for the last 6 months; not my choice after the first. Perhaps with the exception of the wine list, the Serrano and Ibérico hams hanging from the ceiling, thereâs very little to be considered Español. First, the categories of tapas and snacks are idiotic. Tapas are small plates that includes snack portions. Second, the very idea of billing olives for the table is a faux pas - no true Spanish restaurant does that, it is simply a disrespect to Spanish hospitality. Third, most of the selections are truly bizarre. Pulpo ala plancha does not look/taste like grilled octopus, but blanched pieces of squid or cuttle tentacles seared in a frying pan, then smothered in some sticky sauce. The oxtail is not recognizable, it is a spoonful of shredded beef slapped onto a dry toast. The morcilla (blood sausage), while admirably made in-house, is very dry and unseasoned. Spanish cuisine is about simplicity and celebration of the type and cut of meats, recognizable seafood, and delicately prepared vegs; combined with soft textures and bold flavors. Most of all, recognizable Spanish spices: mild to hot paprikas, flavored salts, sweet to bold olive oils, saffronânone of which can be tasted from any of the entrees. After these average to poor fares, we decided not to go for the larger entrees. Not worth the risk of another round of bad cooking. For the quality of food, it is over priced. Service is okay. Will I recommend to anyone? Probably not!

I hadn't been to the Greek Stop in a while went with my sis and she had the Gyro salad with Greek dressing and I had the Hummus grape leaves platter everything was delicious as usual. If you like authentic Greek food this is the place to go from Gyro's to Shish ka bob and Greek desserts we ate here for around 20.00 this is my 3rd visit here.
