Reviews on Mediterranean food in Giurgiu, Southern Romania, Romania. Giurgiu (Romanian pronunciation: [ˈd͡ʒjurd͡ʒju] ( listen)) is a city in southern Romania. The seat of Giurgiu County, it lies in the historical region of Muntenia. It is situated amid mud-flats and marshes on the left bank of the Danube facing the Bulgarian city of Ruse on the opposite bank. Three small islands face the city, and a larger one shelters its port, Smarda. The rich grain-growing land to the north is traversed by a railway to Bucharest, the first line opened in Romania, which was built in 1869 and afterwards extended to Smarda. Giurgiu exports timber, grain, salt and petroleum, and imports coal, iron, and textiles.
It's not my first choice in Giurgiu. It's has 2 buildings and I prefer the front building. The back one is crowded and low but unfortunately there is where the shows are. The food is Greek and not much to choose from.they serve pizza, too.very poor on desert.

Istros is a fabulous Greek restaurant in the heart of Ruse. Very homely, very helpful and jolly staff and an amazing cuisine. It is managed by a Greek chef (who also does the cooking) and his wife and offers an authentic organic Greek food. They are very flexible when it comes to dietary requirements. I'd recommend Istros to everyone willing to have a recollection of that amazing Greek holiday in the past or everyone who is feeling adventurous and would like to try something new! Good luck to Istros and thank you for the experience I will never forget.

Tangra Beer House is a Bulgarian Restaurant, offering variety of local and imported craft beers, salads, grilled meat, fish and appetizers. Located in the heart of Ruse, the restaurant welcomes its guests with a cosy atmosphere indoors and a beautiful sum
I am a regular visitor to Rousse and I always spend an evening at Tangra during my stays in the city. It's a great place to start the night having a bite of some delicious cuisine offering and a sip of beer from their impressive list of craft brands. Their summer garden is really nice and when a championship is going on you can watch a game of football or volleyball, or a boxer round. In winter, the house inside is bright and cozy shunning bad weather and ill moods and leaving them outside. I like the place and would definitely recommend it to both visitors and local people.
Wonderful restaurant with lunch and diner menu, good atmosphere, close to the Ruse university and the city park. Spacious playground, delivery to your door.
Copying one of the most successful restaurant chains in Bulgaria (Happy) isn't as easy as the management of Кръстникът (The Godfather) seems to believe. This blatant rip-off of an already subpar brand model offers dull, uninteresting, badly prepared meals for inadequate prices. Between soft "crispy" chicken fillet and paper-thin crepes with store-brand Nutella imitation, there's nothing that grabs one's attention in the menu. The atmosphere is non-existent—just calling your restaurant after a much beloved movie franchise doesn't make it 'Italian', but at the very least the staff is unobtrusive and somewhat helpful. And if you look to drown your disappointment in proper ale—look elsewhere. The selection of beers is poor, with each of the options available in every supermarket across the country. To top it all off, they served my beer warm.An utter, complete disappointment. Stay as far away as possible.
