This Restaurant has genuine local excellence. We had a lovely evening with food based on local ingredients. The service was friendly and welcoming. It was like eating at a friend's place who was a great cook!

Consigliato senz'altro. Prezzi in linea.

Really friendly, welcoming restaurant, tucked away in beautiful little San Vito Romano. There was no menu, but the owner/chef made sure we had plenty to choose from and recommended us the absolutely fantastic Buffalo Ricotta and Prosciutto crudo. After a few starters we ordered three pizza's, but weren't able to finish them all, as our eyes were bigger than our tummies. The owner/chef provided us with a 'doggy-bag' (pizzabox) for us to take home. The next morning we had an early trek to Pompeii and devoured the pizza in the car and it was still quality! After the meal in the restaurant we were given Limoncello in small cups, which, just like the main crockery, was all hand-made.Plenty of space inside for large groups/families without taking over the whole place and still seating available for smaller groups.

The restaurant, that has just been refurbished, is bright and cozy; but the thing that impressed me the most is the passion that the whole Annarumma family shows throughout the service.Giovanni and Giulia on the floor are knowledgeable about the food and wine they serve and make every guest feel special; and chef Lorenzo in the kitchen is able to cook that kind of comfort food that whoever visits Italy wishes to try at least once.Cacio e pepe and carbonara pasta are to die for!If you are travelling around this area, don't miss the Locanda, you won't regret it.

We hit this spot by friends' advice, and we were so grateful! A little arched tavern into a lovely ancient building, four tables by side. Rosie the owner and chef makes fettuccine and everything else by hand, pouring the best local wine, in a fantastic athmosphere, all for a very reasonable price. We were looking for the real taste of the hills surrounding Rome, we ended up loving this gorgeous little town, with such beautiful highlands around, whose food and people is fantastic!

We have been returning to Terremoto (Earthquake) at Genazzano for many years. It was a favoutie weekend lunch spot when we lived in Rome. The antica ostaria (and it IS very old) is famous throughout the region for simple Lazio style cooking. Simple but excellent! The carafe wines are also excellent and reasonable priced.Terremoto is perched at the edge of a precipice and overlooks vineyards and this extremely interesting an picturesque town.
