Mediterranean/Continental/Restaurant
This visit to Crabtrees was our first since it opened. Mediterranean/American style is not my first choice for eating out. But to make the wife happy and our friend happy since it was her birthday and our 50th anniversary. The service is excellent with water being repeatedly refilled and the crumbs removed very quickly. The 1st thing that annoyed me was this pesky fly throughout the whole time we were at the table. No one is going take swats during a meal so I have no solution. The front door is constantly being opened. My 2nd problem (and I know it is my fault), was the vegetables. Each dish comes with mashed potato and a mix of vegetables like yellow and green zucchini, stringbeans, and pieces of broccoli(ugh) and some slices of beets (ugh 2).For starters our friend had the buratta salad and i shared the escargot with wifey. That came in the full shell on a plate of garlic sauce which is what makes this dish so good. For main course our friend had the darla's chicken, wife had the salmon and I had the porterhouse style 16 ounce pork chop. The chop was huge and covered with sauteed peppers and onions. The chop was very good but I probably would have been happier had I stuck with my first thought of getting 2 appetizers and a salad. I studied the menu and really wanted the calamari plate and the escargot with a salad.Appetizers and salads run from $11-15 while most main dishes run in the teens to 30+.When we arrived the place was not too filled but when we left on a Sunday nite , it was packed. If you are still hungry for dessert, get the gelato.

Casual dining in a intimate setting
The restaurant has an elegant but cozy feel, perfect for couples. I was part of a group of nine. There were very few customers so there was virtually no wait. I had reviewed the menu in advance and had decided on ordering crab cakes. The waitress asked what I wanted in terms of a soup or salad and a side. I declined. I just didn't want all that food. Just the crab cakes. She said I could take the sides home if I liked, they are included. I expected to be able to order my meal how I wanted, but when I saw she wouldn't bulge and was going to make me pay $16.95 for a crab cake platter I didn't want, I opted for the spinach pie appetizer and fries instead. The pie was nicely plated, flaky, okay. A tad short on flavor. The fries was crispy. Four stars for the ambiance, the attentive waitstaff and the food portion sizes. One star less for not accommodating my original order.

Ordered from grub hub, which I understand things happen and sometimes orders get screwed up. But my order did not come complete and half of it was wrong. After waiting 45 minutes originally for the original delivery, I had to call to discuss the problem. Now it is a Greek restaurant and a good one, but most people order Greek want salad, well that's what was missing from my order (the two salads). Then my dinner was completely wrong. I may have overlooked my wrong dish, my have dealt with it, but not to have Greek salad with your food from a Greek restaurant. So I called, the guy asked for my name and phone number so he can call me back in a few minutes. Heard nothing. After a half hour I called back, and someone than hung the phone up on me. Then finally someone picked up and argued with me that it was almost impossible that I didn't get my salads. Ok, so I am now waiting 50 minutes since the order arrived at my house, $50.00 worth of food and I have someone arguing with me about salads. Finally after convincing them that I didn't get what I paid for and asked how long it would take they said another 30-45 minutes. Absolutely not! I had to go pick up the correction, no apologies from them, nothing. Well Greek Corner, if you would have looked in your records you would have seen that we order from you at least once maybe even twice a week. Well you just lost our business and everyone I can tell about how unprofessional you were on the phone. This is not a way to do business.
