Went here tonight based on Trip Advisor reviews, had an amazing meal of Argentinian steak and extras. It really is worth the walk, mind the steps at night though as it is a little dark..

From time to time we grab there coke and some snacks, because it was located nearby the beach and we, as we are travelling with a kid, needed some place to wait for a taxi. It was okayish (although barmen barely speak English), but one day out of nowhere we were yelled at for sitting at the table (the place was deserted). They charge more for dine-in and even though I've suggested to compensate the difference, the guy insisted on using a glass for coke and a bowl for snacks if we stayed inside. Well, I like neither to be yelled nor absurd rules, so we left.Dear Madam,Many thanks for your review. We always appreciate when a customer gives us a feedback but this time I need to strongly disagree with you because you need to get along with a different culture when you travel. If I go to London I do not expect to be served a âlasagnaâ in the same way my country does, so if you come in a country where we make a big difference between the take-away and the dine-in, and we try to make our restaurant not to look like a fast-food you should understand that we cannot allow people to eat from a bag. That is not a stupid rule but how we value our customer.Next time our advice is to try to enjoy the way things are done here because it is always better to have your meal while you are set on a comfortable chair watching the sea. Kind regards.

Surrounded by the vineyards, Cantine Pietratorcia offers a selection of traditional recipes like the coniglio all´ischitana, tender rabbit meat cooked in copper pans, Gragnano pastas with fresh fish, juicy home-grown vegetables, all accompanied by the win
It may be slightly off the beaten track...but both the bus ride and the food are well worth the trip... the pasta was really amazing..flavourful and the seasoning just right.... so was the cuttlefish main ....I would probably revoke t coming here for lunch or an early dinner to take advantage of the view..

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay in Forio, as the first visit was wonderful. Local basics such as parmeggiana melanzane or melted scamorza are perfect, as well as local specialities such as the Ischian rabbit. The staff and service cant be better and the location is very nice, worth the walk to the restaurant.

They certainly do have the terrible staples of tourist food (such as pølser, fries and the terrible spaghetti bolognese). However, they also have a solid choice of fresh fish, prepared according to the genuine tradition. Everyday they serve a different pasta dish: one day we had a home made pasta with little octopus sauce. We enjoyed gnocchi, and the classic spaghetti alle vongole. Good choice of antipasti and a few selection of fishes as main course. We really enjoyed it.

Great quality of food. Everything tasted wonderful. The choices are limited but whatever you choose should be very tasty. We had the antipasto, pasta dishes and grilled meats. All good! Itâs a little difficult to reach and the ride from their little shuttle is quite entertaining given the extremely steep hill. Wonderful view once you arrive. Definitely recommend. Also we sat outside and it even rained, we were kept dry by their awning.

We walked over to this restaurant because the owner of our lovely B&B nearby had recommended it. We were escorted to a lovely table outside overlooking the azure sea. The night was simply magical. We ordered a mixed seafood appetizer and fiori di zucca, which were the best fiori di zucca I've ever had...and yes, I've had a lot of them. The marinated seafood was divine.I especially loved that there were no ashtrays on the table. I noticed an outdoor living-room area, far from the tables, which had ashtrays and I realized that THAT was their smoking section. After barely being able to breathe in Naples and Rome due to excessive cigarette smoke literally EVERYWHERE, it was wonderful to be able to eat without the disgusting smoke from other patrons. Brilliant move!I had been told by the locals to order the buccattini al coniglio, because that is a specialty in Ischia. I did and was not aware that the sauce that comes on the pasta does not contain any actual rabbit meat. It is merely the sauce that the rabbit is cooked in. I told the waiter about my disappointment even though the dish was still good and I was so amazed at what came next. They actually brought me a small plate of rabbit so that I could taste it. Honestly, this really made my night. They cared so much about my experience that they went out of their way to make it perfect. This is how restaurants should be. We also had a lovely dessert and walked home afterwards. The entire place is lovely both inside and out.We loved La Pietra Slow and would highly recommend it to everyone. Yes, it was a glorious experience indeed.Dear Mrs Glenys , thanks for your review!!! We are happy that your experience at restaurant " La Pietra" has been enjoyable. We hope to see you soon Thanks <3 Annamaria
