Lunch on a Friday and the palace was full - a good sign.Classy décor, fine cutlery, very good service. We had 2 courses each and each was prepared very well indeed.Standouts were the focaccia bread, zucchini flowers and calamari salad. The Lasagne was also nice.

Anada is a wonderful intimate Spanish restaurant. It's hard to fault the food or service. The standouts were the squid fideua (9.5 out of 10), Iberico (Jamon) and the bone marrow - this is seriously good, tapas style food. In a relaxed environment, there is plenty of time between courses, so your meal is not rushed, you eat, you drink, talk and laugh. There is a BUT. The wine is expensive ... lowest price Albarino was $84, then there's the water ... the sparkling water was an outrageous $22.Will I return ... most likely not, as the two bottles of water we ordered totaled $44. Fair to say, a restaurant can charge what it likes, BUT let the customer know in advance if a bottle of sparkling water is more than $12.

The food here was divine! Service was prompt and informative. Only issue we had were our neighbours at the tables next to us practically sitting on our laps. Theyâve squished so many tables in the front of the restaurant that you canât expect nice quiet conversation with your partner.

Set in a picturesque 19th century building with a postcard view over Carlton Gardens, Epocha serves a seasonal menu drawing inspiration from European culture and its modern cuisines whilst using the best of local Australian produce. Guests are invited to
Dined here last night for a work farewell. Lovely old building and soothing ambience. 3 course set menu. Food was very nice if not overly exciting. Fresh ingredients well cooked. Professional friendly service. Would like to try it for an al la carte but happily recommend for the type of function we attended.

Its hard to find fault with this Little Collins Street Italian culinary institution. As you would expect the bread is served warm, with a crusty outer layer, chewy and with artisan olive oil, the perfect start to excite the sensors. We shared half-a-dozen oysters, and then promptly ordered another six-of-the best. and they were the best, oysters I have ever had. And, I have been fortunate enough to have indulged in Oysters across four continents. We had the 2015 Lobethal Rd Chardonnay. You pay $45 at Dan Murphy. At Il Bararo it's a very reasonable $75. So with the wine, I had the spectacular pesce del giorno (fish of the day). My wife the equally delicious Cannelloni. Accompaniment was insalata di rucola (fresh green salad). The simple things in life are always the best.Staff, well they are just fabulous Italian peacocks, wonderful and engaging. Love this place.

El Rincon is an authentic Spanish Tapas Venue located in the heart of the Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne CBD. We are open from 8am til late, 7 days, catering for breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between! We have a large range of premium Austra
We went here because of the excellent reviews, and because we were staying across the road for the week. We certainly we not let down. Promptly seated and given water and the menu. It is a very small place adjoining the QV markets, and can be accessed from the market when open, or from Victoria St. Ordered the following, Ternera Al Limon; Calamares; Fried Sardines, Patatas Asadas Con Mojo, which were all on the tapas menu, and followed these with Spanish Meatballs. All items very tasty, well presented, and full of flavour. The girl chef and her kitchen are very visible and it was great to see everything being prepared freshly before your eyes.I could not fault anything tonight and we were both very impressed. Total inc two glasses of red wine, was $112 for both of us. We walked away extremely satisfied and will have to return to try the rest of the tapas menu.Muchisimas gracias! Thank you very much for your compliments & time to Review us. We pride ourselves on happy staff and delicious Spanish food being served. So happy to hear you will come back and enjoy more of the Taste of Spain in Melbourne CBD.

Looking for a new Italian in the city we went here based on Trip Advisor's positive reviews.Good looking room that is deceiving from the outside. Light wood and well spaced tables made it a comfortable space.Ordered Rocket & pear salad, Salmon Caserecce pasta and Salumi pizza. Salad and pizza were excellent and good portions. Quality ingredients on all. The pizza base was just right and stayed crispy in the middle unlike many wood fired pizzas were you end up with a soggy middle. My partner enjoyed the Caserecce but found the portion size a bit small commenting that I would still be hungry had I ordered it. Had a good Valpolicella Ripasso to go with it. $130 for the meal with wine being half of the bill.Service was excellent - prompt, friendly, not pretentious or hovering.Worth noting the pasta prices at Da Guido 365 are less than their location in Lygon street.Open for lunch and dinner but closed from 3-6 in the afternoon.Very much enjoyed this meal and will be back ourselves and with friends.

Carb loading on a Monday night is where itâs at This place was lovely, nice food and friendly service, with great fixing offers available (booking through The Fork but also the Entertainment Book). Service was great until it was time for dessert/the bill when we waiting about an hour for either before eventually giving up the dessert dream and going inside to get the bill and pay! Otherwise a lovely night with great food!Pictured is the Tortellini (beef tortellini with mushrooms, sicilian pork fennel sausage and parmigiano)

We loved the entire experience in Da Guido. Be the Italian dishes made to perfection and very courteous friendly staff, the overall ambience, everything was remarkable. We ordered the Calamari salad, Duck breast with cocktail potatoes, seafood spaghetti and Seared Salmon with Avocado, along with Chianti...everything was perfect! Fine dining restaurant that gives you an unforgettable experience! Keep it up.

Step back in time as you enjoy your meal in a friendly relaxed family run business.
For my last night in Melbourne I dined at il Cantuccio, a traditional style, Italian restaurant . Inside decor was very dark & traditional, very cosy: staff were all Italian. I chose Involtini, a traditional Calabrese dish: beef topside rolled with parsley, pecorino cheese, pesto and slowly baked with capers, anchovies, tomato & chilli, served with rustic Italian style veggies. Very enjoyable especially when I got to the capers & anchovies stuffing. The staff were very friendly and exuded typical Italian passion for life & food: they treat you like family! Highly recommended.
