Many people tell me I'm difficult to please. My reply: Having high standards is a problem? Wanting my palate to be pleased is not a reasonable expectation? "Phooey!" I say! Thankfully, this establishment satisfies all that I expect and hope to experience while dining - this place is wonderful! Ambience, service, menu - all stellar. The offerings match the intended style - sophisticated rustic is how I'd describe it. Good ingredients should speak for themselves, not be dressed to provide a shiny-object distraction. Here, complimentary elements are creatively combined for a fresh and surprising illumniation within the dish. Reviewing the menu is a pleasing task in interpreting the well-written descriptions, allowing you to know exactly what to expect, imagining the result of such interesting combinations. So many enticing options - so my friend and I opted for the pre-theatre selections for our first try here. Her grilled squid was outstanding; my zucchini cakes very good. Our bronzino was spectacular - the side vegetables finished on the grill with mint and cilantro. Simple. Terrific. Dessert - does "I'll have what she's having!" ring a bell? We had to stifle our moans - the date sponge cake was absolutely amazing. Step away from ordinary, add this to your contacts and speed-dial it for a reservation. Seriously.

Located in the New York landmarked Hotel Des Artistes, and surrounded by the astonishing 1920s murals by Howard Chandler Christy, THE LEOPARD at des Artistes finds its roots in the area once known as âThe Kingdom of the Two Siciliesâ (mid 1800s) and in th
My husband and I have dined here before for Restaurant Week. We loved the choices from Tuscany. Meal started off well with an excellent gin martini. We enjoyed the artichoke timbale with great prosciutto. The fish stew and the pappardelle with rabbit ragout. We also enjoyed the two featured desserts: the Italian doughnuts and ricotta cake with chocolate sauce. The restaurant is beautiful to look at, and the service was very attentive.

My husband and I visited this Italian as it was near our hotel the food was fab as was the service. I would recommend booking as this place is extremely busy we managed to get a seat at the bar which was fine but you really want a table when having a nice meal

This is where the grown-ups go for superb food, excellent service, white tablecloths and hushed voices. I can't say enough about how excellent our food was, at what we thought were reasonable prices (understanding that nothing with the above qualities is inexpensive.)It is wonderful to know how much you enjoy dining at Boulud Sud and that you appreciate all we do to ensure every dining experience is the very best. Thank you! We look forward to welcoming you again. Best regards, Marcellin Fal, Boulud Sud

This is a great place, the food is delicious, the ambience fun (although a tad crowded), good service and they have a wide selection of italian food and appetizers. I particularly loved their selection of cured meats. I enjoyed everything I ordered and I would definitely return.

After having lunch here once before we had dinner here with another couple. The place is pretty basic and does pizza, although we did not have any. The service was friendly and attentive. The food terrific. We ate family style with two entrees (a fish and a beef kabob) between us and a large mediterranean salad, lots of great fresh bread and one of our favorites, Labne (a yogurt based sauce). We ordered a bottle of Shiraz wine and after ordering discovered that Monday night is half price wine night. Very good wine and incredible price. A really nice place to go to again and again.

Had dinner here before a show at the Beacon, itâs super convenient to the theater. Started with the mushroom flatbread app, it was to die for. Main entree was spaghetti scampi, outstanding!! Others had the duck and branzino, both excellent. Desserts were all delicious too!!Canât wait to go to another show at the Beacon so I can eat at Tessaâs again, will definitely return!

With the International Ambassador of Greek Gastronomy, Chef Maria Loi, at the helm, Loi Estiatorio is a Mediterranean oasis in the heart of Manhattan, celebrating the flavors and hospitality of Greece, like the Greeks. Loi Estiatorio is an upscale take on
Small intimate restaurant near Central Park. The owner, Maria Loi is Chief and a delightful personality. Her manager, Alex is charming and attentive. You feel like you just entered your best friend's home. But, even more impressive is the fresh and uniquely prepared dishes. We were saddened we couldn't try more. Loved the fresh lentil soup, grape leaves and fish of the day. The desserts were light - you won't believe their baklava - no butter (made with olive oil) and may be the best I've ever had. All meals are freshly prepared - this place is amazing!

We've been here many times and have never had a bad dish. High quality food and service every single time! My only complaint is that prices have crept up gradually so it isn't the fantastic dining bargain that it once was. We like that you can BYOB and not get charged a "corking" fee. It's a small place and always crowded with folks of all ethnicities and ages.

This unassuming restaurant just a few steps down from street level is one of the best Falafel etc. venues I've visited. The salads, falafel sandwiches in pita, and a broad variety of middle eastern dishes will delight the palate...and there's plenty of spice if you want it! Hummus Place also does a very active takeout business for locals as well. Highly recommended!
