Deliziosoooooo... if you like proper Italian food, this place is for you. The Trattoria has a proper Italian feel to it, the food is out of this world. Freshly prepared, generous portions, and made with the best ingredients. What's not to like... our favourites include Bruscetta, Baked Parma and Mozzarella, Corniglio, and of course the Pasta dishes, but we are still working through the menu. The deli is just as great, with the freshest cheeses, Italian hams and cold cuts. Well priced, too! So, give the chain stores the boot, and support this honest family-run jewel, and have a great lunch while you stock up your pantry!

We visit this place on a busy Sunday morning, the food was very average and below and very expensive. I think if it was not for the kiddies play area it will not attract many customers. Our service was good.

Once again outstanding experience. Vasco's did not disappoint us. I had fish (a silver-side something fish) and after spending a few years in Mozambique with the great variety of fresh fish and great restaurants, I was blown away with how fresh, tasty, moist, beautifully cooked and presented on a bed of vegetables mixed with baby potatoes done in the oven.....................wow so good. My partner had duck (we had this before) and it was just as amazing. I don't often go out of my way to promote restaurants but Vasco's gets 10 out of 10.

We usually try to eat local food while traveling, but we decided to go to Pigalle as it was closer to the airport and we had to catch a 1 AM flight. It was our best meal in South Africa. We had the Portuguese caldo verde, the prawns aguilho and the cod fish. Everything was delicious.

The Landing Restaurant is a vibrant meeting and eating destination located in the lovely suburb of Dunvegan, Edenvale. The restaurant opens at 6.30am 7 days a week and is a popular choice for great tasting barista prepared coffees, and as a relaxing space
Firstly, the good. The atmosphere, service and coffee are all great! There is enough space between tables to enjoy your own tableâs conversation without sharing your neighbourâs. Then, the average..for above average prices, the breakfasts were...average. The poached eggs for two of the breakfasts for our party of six were not as ordered (medium to hard) but instead came with liquid whites. The Eggs Benedict was OK but not the best Hollandaise. The breads however were very good and fresh. My Emmental and Bacon omelette was a little rubbery but edible. As I said...overall, average.

My local works colleagues had reserved a large table by the window for a mid week evening dinner at the Villa Bianca recently. Parking is for free outside, just off the road. In fact there is nothing special about this area - seemed rather a strange location for a high class restaurant but it was, nonetheless doing a brisk trade on the evening that we were there.Getting the drinks in with a crowd of around a dozen diners was a bit of a challenge but our dedicated waitress did her best - very successfully in fact. I followed her recommendation and had a Jack Blacks draught beer to start off with. As we were about to order our food from the extensive and very comprehensive menu of mixed international offerings (Italian, Chinese, Japanese, South African etc.), our waitress returned to cite a plethora of extra specials in glorious detail. Wow. What a memory. As it was I went for the snails as a starter - swimming in delicious garlic butter. And for the main course I went for steak served with a blue cheese sauce and an avocado on top. It was served with cooked vegetables. I left the choice of the wines to the local experts. We started with a bottle ofPinotage Kanonkop 2016 and then followed that with a bottle of Merlot Meerlust 2015.Some of us had desserts. I didn't. I was full and very satisfied. This is truly a restaurant that I can thoroughly recommend.

I had a fillet with chicen liver and prawns. Medium-rare. It was absolutely perfect, so soft, I actually did not need a knife. Tip-top service from Venus. You cannot get better. Nothing to improve on. What a pleasure!
