Reviews on Mediterranean food in Dun Laoghaire, Province of Leinster, Ireland. Dún Laoghaire (Irish pronunciation: [d̪ˠuːn̪ˠ ˈɫeːrʲə]) is a suburban coastal town in County Dublin, Ireland, about 12 km (7.5 miles) south of Dublin city centre. It is the county town of the Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown district. Formerly a major port of entry from Great Britain, it was known as Dunleary until 1821 when it was renamed Kingstown in honour of King George IV's visit that year, and in 1920 was given its present name, the original Irish form of Dunleary.

The atmosphere is clean, spacious and bright. Very cozy. The people are very nice and they have a great early bird special also. I live that they also have Guinness on tap.The food was good. Best value for money restaurant in Dublin. .
I'm local to this restaurant and have been many times. It had been a few months until yesterday evening. There are new menus with increased prices. We had the 2 course menu and were charged a 4euro supplement for the Seafood Risotto but this was not stated on the menu. When queried the waitress said 'it was not written on menu but this was just the way it was sorry' and then swiftly departed the table. If you are going to charge a supplement it should be written on the menu! Both the food and wine were ok, but the service and extra charging was off putting- both waitresses were robotic like they don't really want to be there - no smiles, no thanks or goodbyes! Disappointing, I try to support local restaurants but in this case I'll be looking elsewhere in future.Hi Leone, thank you very much for taking the time to review us and I really appreciate the honest feedback, itâs the only way I would know what needs to be improved.Iâm very sorry if any of our staff seemed short with you on your visit, one of our waitresses called sick yesterday and I had to call a substitute in the last moment. Regarding the increasing of the prices please donât blame us, as you know Aprile has always been best value for money place in Stillorgan and I believe still is. We are offering Two course meal and a glass of wine at â¬23.80 which is â¬1.60 increase from our previous menu because since first of January VAT on food was increased to 13.5%.Regarding the overcharging, the waitress should have explained when taking the order that dishes from our Signature menu which is actually separated are not included on the Set Menu. Not an excuse at all but she was there covering for a sick waitress and I admit she was not properly trained.Actually eventually you were undercharged because the Sea Food Risotto from our Signature menu is priced at â¬19.90 which in combination with our cheapest starter and a glass of wine would cost â¬31.70, and instead bill was â¬27.70(including the â¬4 supplement). We hope you give us another chance.Kind Regards,Iliyan

Had dinner here 2 days ago with 2 girlfriends. Teeny tiny restaurant sitting probably 22-24 max. Authentic Italian run by Italians with excellent service and very tasty food. The starters are made for sharing, we had bruschetta of avocado and tomato and bresaola with rocket and pecorino. Both fresh and seasoned perfectly. For mains, we all had pasta - pasta was fabulous ,light as a feather.Highly recommend this restaurant,go before everyone discovers it! I will certainly be returning.

I love both Michaelâs and Little Mikes. First off their staff are amazing, so welcoming and accommodating and knowledgable about their menu. The food is simply stunning, if you love great steak and seafood you are in for a treat. I first learned about this restaurant from a business friend of mine and he suggested I visited, so I did. Since then Iâve taken many of my clients for a real experience of Irish seafood and fish in Michaelâs and Little Mikes and theyâve left being very impressed. A trip to both Michaelâs and Little Mikes will not disappoint. Never mind the stuck up review yer man gave below.Canât wait for my next visit. Keep up the great work guys!

Have eaten here before and restaurant extremely good. Can not fault food or service BUT....... was given a 9:00pm booking this evening. Showed up at 9:15 and was INTERROGATED as my booking was not on their system!!! Told to wait but had to stay in lane outside restaurant for 15 minutes in the cold...... finally told no table and had to leave...... we were a party of four and no where else available at this late hour...... NOT IMPRESSED....... did not make a scene but really PISSED OFF to say the least............ PLEASE train your staff regards booking and how to handle the customer in this scenario as you really left yourselves down with a bang tonight...... A DISGRUNTLED FORMER CUSTOMER..... Dear DarrenWe apologise about the mistake we made last night with your booking, we were extremely busy last night. We have to check with all our customers if they have a booking, and we didnât mean to be rude to you. Firstly, I never asked you to wait in the lane downstairs, I asked you if you could wait for fifteen minutes in Goggins Pub and have a drink while we tried to get a table for you. And by the second time you came up, I asked if you could give us another fifteen minutes as we were trying to get a table for you, and I asked if you would like to have a glass of Prosecco in our restaurant bar or if you would like to go back down to Goggins for another fifteen minutes. The lady then decided to leave and said it was too late for dinner. However, this is not an excuse for the mistake we made, and we apologize if we ruined your night. We will improve our booking system from now on. If you could contact me [email protected], I would be grateful for that.

Our brand new location on Crofton Road is very close to the picturesque Dun Laoghaire harbour. This unique restaurant boasts a special setting with seating for 80 people. If it's a barista style coffee or tasty brunch style pancakes you're after, or tempt
A group of five of us booked a Sunday afternoon brunch at the restaurant. We had a very nice table close to the kitchen area. The place itself is nicely decorated creating a good ambience that is added to by the staff who all seemed very pleasent and helpful.I had Huevos Rancheros with extra Clonakilty Black Pudding which I enjoyed and all five of us were happy with their meals. I was delighted to see some irish craft beer available so I had a Galway Bay Full Sail (always good in a botle). There was nobody rushing us to leave so we had desserts and left after 2 hours. Will return.

This popular restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You will find seasonal Italian-inspired menus paired with a stunning sea view, alongside a beautiful bar. Haddington House began its journey as Oliveto and youâll see from the quality
Booked here for a family get together. Could not get over the price of our bill the end. We were never given children's menus, just told what food there was so when the bill arrived we were very unhappy. Small bowl of PLAIN pasta for a 2 year old was â¬6???? Childrens pizzas â¬9 then to add on a scoop of ice cream was â¬12. Our waitor didnt smile once, ladies on the main desk where people arrive to be seated looked stressed and miserble. Will most definitely not return due to the over priced menu, unhappy staff and price of drinks menu, over â¬11 for an aperol sprizr, Oliveto your in Dun Laoghaire not rome. Lower your prices and brush up on customer service. Take a leaf out of the Italian restaurant down the road from yourselves.Dear Sarah, thanks for taking the time to review Oliveto. We are genuinely sorry to hear that you were disappointed with our pricing structure and service levels. The prices of our menu items are carefully worked out for each item. We are currently working on our children's offerings, to streamline them further. Please contact me directly at [email protected] and I can resolve this with you directly. Kind regards, Chloe
