This lovely sidewalk cafe was a most welcome surprise in our Copenhagen neighborhood while on vacation. The food was tasty, fresh, and the reception/service was warm and friendly. Sitting in the sidewalk tables of this quiet sidestreet added to the very lovely experience. I heartily recommend Patina Café.

This advertises itself as a tapas restaurant, but don't expect to see copies of what you got in Southern Spain. They have a nice Scandinavian twist to them. All portions are more like a "raciones" size as well, so you will definitely leave feeling full. The waiters are really friendly and chatty if not too busy too. We sat by the street, but had it not been to warm that day, I'd have preferred to sit inside, as loads of people think nothing of walking in between tables to get to the nearby mall. This is not the restaurant's fault, but annoying nonetheless.

This is a long overdue review. I have been frequenting here for 1-4 times a year for the past 5 or so years. It is away from the touristy walking street and is is my go-to place with various colleagues when in Copenhagen. It is truly a freshly prepared Spanish tappas meal. Do not ask for a menu (food allergies excepted)..Benito (the owner, cook, host, everything) takes care of you literally like you are a guest in his home. Delicious array of flavors and wonderful red wines. Look forward to my next visit.

This was our first visit to Copenhagen and after surviving the August crowds in Nvhavn we wanted to find a good restaurant with quality food. We must have been lucky as it was a quiet night with wonderful Italian food. The service was fantastic and we were not disappointed. The only thing to be aware of is that the menu is for three or four courses which we hadnât picked up when we booked. So we came away very full but also very happy. They also have a great Italian wine list - quite expensive also but probably pretty standard Scandinavia!!Dear John, thank you for a great review. Yes, Trattoria l'Alba is a hidden gem close to Nyhavn, but only for the locals and for the tourist seeking the real stuff. All italian, also the staff, the wine and all products. Our price for a 4 course (all homemade) incl. bread/oil, service etc. is 50 euro. According us a very fair price in the very center of Copenhagen. We don't charge extra for tap water, no cover charge, no extra for olive oil, bread, and a little starter. We hope you liked this service and we hope to see you back again for a lovely italian evening in wonderful Copenhagen. All the best, Erik

This stylish restaurant reminds one of nouvelle cuisine with its small portions and high prices. The owner-operator, an elegant Danish woman who speaks fluent Italian is omnipresent taking all orders and allowing her young staff only to bring and remove plates. She is no doubt very capable, knowledgeable about wines which are expensive. By the glass choices are lacking though one may have two glasses of the house Brunello for 250 Danish krones or about $35 American dollars. There are only two entre choices each night: a meat or fish. Both were small in size and not particularly special. Similarly dessert was fine but nothing to remember. An expensive dinner and not really worth it!

Genuine atmosphere with a truly Roman touch. A family business with excellent food and wine. We ordered the dinner menu, with appetizers, main and dessert - and asked for wine suggestions. The pizzas are very good and more of a Roman style, which means a crispy and thin crust. The wine selection is also very good, same with the creme-brûléeâs dessert. Highly suggest a visit!

Was concerned; about service etc having read a few reviews but we had no issues at all during our 2 brunch time visits. The capachino was ready good and large and nicely presented. For service there is a little buzzer on the table and staff came instantly and were pleasant . The pasteries were nice and fresh.The atmosphere was good also. Thats why we went 2 days running while on a very short stay in Copenhagen.
