Was 1st recommended to us by a vegetarian friend......we arenât vegetarian, but we were amazed by the quality of the food (and range of drinks). Weâve been about 10 times over the last few years and are never disappointed and ALWAYS full......great menu and generous portions. Staff are really friendly and help if u struggle with some of the dishes. Highly recommended and one of the best kept secrets in Darlington

The Old Yard Tapas bar is a longstanding independent business in the heart of Darlington Town Centre. We have an extensive Spanish tapas and Greek meze menu, we cater for everyone, individuals to large parties. Bar opening hours: Monday-Saturday 11am-11pm
I held an event at the Tapas Bar last week and everything from initial enquiry to running of the event was perfect. Beccy was amazing at making sure everything went smoothly on the night and I can't thank her enough. I had such great feedback on the event including the room - the Jonny Maracas, which enabled us to have plenty of room for live singer Christy McAllister, food and for guests to mingle. I also came a couple of weeks ago for dinner with my parents and the food was delicious. Couldn't ask for more helpful staff, and will definitely be back for more yummy tapas.

Very disappointed.. Ordered meze dishes.. Potato dish was a packet of smash with chillies in.. Mains frozen chips. Cheap ingredients.. Food to salty.. Very overpriced expensive for what you get.. Big shame really was looking forward to trying this place out..Hopefully we will put at the next menu Highlited the description. Skordalia is mashed potatoes with garlic and chilly. Cooked exactly when you order it. It's smooth and creamy. I also made sure that the chips were cooked on every dish. But we are thinking to take the chips out of every plate and give choice of chips, or rice or baked potatoes or mashed potatoes from now on. Food is not salty. But we instruct the service to inform everyone to taste first before add more salt in their dishes. The prices at our drinks and food are among the lowest around.

This place is still my fave place for brunch. Their eggs Benedict are second to none. Simply amazing and the staff are so attentive and friendly, plus professional. A great find and somewhere that I will continue to come for years and years.
