There are several restaurants in the front in Cudillera all offering similar menus. We chose this one for a simple lunch. We ordered anchovies and roasted potatoes. We got sardines and sloppy, greasy fried potatoes. The food was horrible. The waiters were sullen, snappy and could not care less. The worst meal we have had in years. Avoid at all costs, walk on by.

We chose this restaurant out of many by the harbour and we hadn't done any research.....it was OK and the portions were of a good size but although the fish we ate was fresh, the meal didn't quite tick all the boxes in the tastiness and service boxes. Service was brusque and luckily I spoke Spanish as there was no allowance given if you didn't! We had the menu Del dÃa for â¬18 - three courses and a fairly wide choice. In retrospect I probably wouldn't go there again, given the myriad of other restaurants in the vicinity.

We stumbled on to this restaurant while out exploring Cudillero on a rainy day in November. The seafood dishes are wonderful. The table next to us looked like locals - and they had pre-ordered the paella. Which looked amazing.

We had walked passed this place earlier in the day and thought is looked cute so popped in for lunch. It was a stormy and miserable day and initially we were the only people sat in the upstairs restaurant. However, before our starters were out the room was already full. The owner proudly brought up some of the fresh fish that had been caught that day and it did all look spectacular. We had mussels and fresh anchovies to start, I'm not the biggest fan of mussels but they were very good, the anchovies however, were out of this world! It's lovely to see a place run as passionately as Casa Mari, if/when I return to Cudillero I will be popping in again.

We visited this restaurant on our last night in Cudillero, and were very impressed with both the food, and the service. For starters we had scallops which were fantastic, and main I had one of the specials of the day which was monkfish- again prepare superbly. All rounded off with a delicious dessert.Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Stopped here after viewing the stunning coastal scenery nearby. There are abiut 3 places to eat near the plaza, but this had tables in the shade. Quite a large place with a restaurant at one end and a cafe bar at the other. Both have outside seating. Ordered drinks and they came with a small plate of fried prawns. Went on to order raciones of callos, cockles and potatoes with cabrales. All were delicious. The problems with service came when we wanted to go and asked for the bill. We finally got it about 25 min s later having asked twice. We then saw that it was incorrect (in our favour) and would normally have pointed this out to them, but having waited so long, we just paid and left.

My wife and I visited some of this small coastal village on our drive between Paradors based on recommendations from staff in Ribadeo. The village of Cudillero is so picturesque. We picked the Opera for lunch after a quick check on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. Food was very good, service was friendly/excellent. The server (owner) convinced me into trying the local sidra with the self serve table dispenser. A very unique experience. We had a very enjoyable meal. We were lucky to find a table there for lunch because most of the tables were already reserved. Prices are on the high side.

We feel so lucky to have found this restaurant/hotel. Thanks Trip Advisor. Jairo is a welcoming and relaxing host and the food is Beautiful. Fresh, flavourful local seafood cooked so well. Great discussion and explanation of dishes.Foie Gras. Was amazing, I have never liked it before. But I loved it. Ate next night at a 3 star restaurant and Jairo's Foie Gras was way more memorable. Quality produce, beautifully cooked in a friendly relaxed environment with Knowledgable and welcoming hosts. We will be recommending this to all our friends visiting from Australia. Thank you Jairo for treating us so well.

No wonder this place is always packed to the gills! Itâs in the center of the bay in this small, absolutely beautiful town. Surrounded by a handful of competitors, El Remo knows itâs the best, and proves it gallantly. We ordered there starters - garlic shrimp, anchovies (fried), and salad with white asparagus. We were ready to order more, and the waitress smiled and told us that that would probably be enough. How many restaurants do you do you go to where a waitress actually tells you to stop ordering? We really appreciated it, because the portions were large. The bread was excellent. We also had the local cider for which the region is famous, but for us, it didnât really hit the spot.

Not a fancy restaurant, a traditional bar style place but very friendly and helpful staff and the 4 of us each had a different fish dish, all were excellent.
