Commerce Township, officially the Charter Township of Commerce, is a charter township of Oakland County, and suburb of Detroit, located in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 40,186 at the 2010 census. The terrain is rolling hills with large expanses of flat farmland and suburban development. The Huron River runs mostly north-south through the township. Commerce was formerly a weekend and summer resort for Detroiters because of the area's small inland lakes and peaceful seclusion, but due to recent development the cottages are now all permanent homes. There has been a sharp increase in population in the last few years, mostly on or near the several lakes and golf courses. Much of Proud Lake State Recreation Area is within the township. The northern terminus of M-5 is in Commerce. The busy highway would have continued north to Interstate 75, but because of the area's high property value and the many lakes that dot the landscape such a project would have been far too costly.

Clean well-designed restaurant with very good food and service. I go here often for their tabouli as well as their grilled chicken w/garlic sauce. Restaurant can accomodate a large group and provide carry-out too. Staff is friendly and efficient. Seating choice of tables, booths as well as a bar-style counter. Pricing is very reasonable.

Unfortunately, I have to rate Blue Grill terrible. We arrived around 6:00pm on a Thursday. As we started to give them our protein choice: Beef Shawarma and Ground Lamb & Beef Kafta they proceeded to inform us they had run out of those. The only option was Chicken Shawarma. Having no other options we both ordered Chicken Shawarma. Not only were we disappointed that we could not order what we originally wanted but the only choice we had was flavorless, dry, chewy and fatty, As they scooped about 1/2 cup of chicken into the bowls I was agitated that was all we got. With that being said I am glad that is all we got. Even with toppings and sauce or dressing this meal was not good. The pita bowl was so hard, dry, and had a chalky texture that it was not worth eating. I removed mine and shortly after my husband removed his. I can understand pita chips being crunchy but a bowl. Over priced and not worth it. The dining area was a mess. Food on all the tables and floors, sticky and wet floors by the soda machine, the board game shelves even had sticky stuff on them, and the trash can was full. I do not like to give terrible reviews, however, this one needed to be done.

We enjoyed lunch at Al Maidah. Fresh bread and garlic is provided while you wait for your meal to arrive. Soup or a salad comes with your lunch. The quality of their chicken, rice and fattoush salad was excellent. Nice additional benefit - the prices are very reasonable. Helpful Hint: There is a lot of parking in the back in addition to the few spots out front.

Thai place even though not fancy, their food is very good. They always busy and packed which make me feel very good to keep ordering from them. The owner Nadheer is very nice and very hospitable. The servers are good too. They have best tabooli, baba ghanoosh, and shawarma in town..we use them for catering needs when we need Lebanese appetizers....nothing gets wrong with this place ...we never were disappointed.

Wonderful reception from what seems to be the family/owners of the restaurant. Enjoyed a great selection of Mediterranean foods, but settled on Chicken shawarma sandwiches and a falafel plate - so delicious! Add to it the Mediterranean fries (steak fries with greek dressing and feta cheese!!!) and you have the perfect meal. Service, food and atmosphere were all delightful.
