The restarant is located on the boardwalk of Calafell. So there is always somethingbto watch. The staff speaks English and is efficient. The starters are meant to share. We made the mistake to choose each a starter and a main course. This was way to much. The starters are nice and inexpensive. The burgers have several toppings you can pick. The burger itself was a bit disappointing. It was not seasoned and had a lack of flavor. However we had a great time, and that is the meaning of a night out. If you do not want to have to wait in line make sure to be there at 8pm sharp.

You might need to reserve a table on a Friday or Saturday night. The Fideuà was great! Delicious! The two starters we ordered were also very good, forgot which one but one was with raw/smoke fish. Fideuà wasn't cheap, they charge per person but worth a try.

I am spanish guy, traveller and food lover. Taberna los Serrano it represents the taste of AndalucÃa. The sun and happiness of the south of Spain in few dishes. It is fresh and home made food. One of the best places near Calafell beach.Special sea food platter. From La Taberna Los Serranø we thank you for your visit, comment and above all, thank you for the trust you place in our team !!!

In that part of town, there's not much choice for good lunch next to the beach, and I guess this is what this place lives off. The service is pretty stressing, running back and forth. They are a polite and quick in bringing the food, maybe even too quick, rushing us thru the order. The menu itself is pretty short, with mainly paella as specialty. We did not try it so I can't rate that. We shared a "xato" salad, which was excellent; and well presented and with really good cod and dressing. The mixed seafood plate was of quality and well cooked ingredients, especially the "sipia". But the plate is small for 22 euros, in my opinion. And the "rap" carpaccio was brutal, and and ok sized, although expensive at 14 euros. The White House wine was unusually good, though, at a fair price. No kids menu, so we had to spend almost 9 euros for a pan seared chicken breast. The restaurant itself is not fancy at all. So all in all I felt the place better suited for a beer next to the beach, than to have OK meal for too much money.

Dined at La Locanda with friends for four consecutive nights. Food was fabulous. Chef/Owner is from Italy. Pear salad, grilled beef with arugula and Parmesan, mussels and fresh pastas. Engaging wait staff. Be sure to ask for Roberto. He will provide in-depth descriptions of each menu item and tell you from where the ingredients originate. Desserts are delicious -- tiramisu and Roberto's world-famous Apple cake at the top of the list.

When we arrived the place was empty. We were worried. But we shouldn't have been. Our waitress was very patient with us and, although she said her English wasn't great, it was better than our Spanish! She was very friendly and suggested regional dishes which we were very grateful for. We took advantage of the set menu with extra dishes and the value was unbelievable as wine was included. Even our children (8, 7, and 4) loved it, though they aren't fussy anyway. They allowed us to share our dishes with the kids as we knew they wouldn't eat a whole dish to themselves.Even the coffees were the best we had during our entire week.It is worth noting this restaurant is air-conditioned. We were very thankful for the relief from the 30 degree heat outside! The only suggestion I would have would be to have a couple of different items on the menu for those not keen on rice as that is the main focus of most dishes seeing as it is a "rizzaria". If we are in the area again we will definitely visit here again at least once.Thank you La Nansa for a wonderful meal and for being so welcoming :-)

Found this restaurant via trip advisor and agree with the many excellent reviews already posted. The food was very good and the wine also. Antonio was very welcoming and a great chef. The waiters and their service very professional.

Very relaxing and tranquil spot to dine on the seashore. They have some very nice good served casually facing the sea. Many small parties are held here and in the museum on the long weekends. Nothing very formal and great for the informality at the beach.

It is popular , so we tried. Very disappointing. Food was below average, quite greasy and small portions. Fish did not seem very fresh and meat was not tender at all. Service was very slow. And in the end it turns out quite expensive. We will not go back
