47 has always been my go to restaurant, until now. We went for a Friday night romantic dinner and were hugely disappointed. We were situated in the corner of the newly extended conservatory, which was extremely loud due to the wooden floor & larger parties. There were flies buzzing around and crawling up the walls along with spiders & cobwebs. The food was âokâ nothing special considering the price. The steak my partner ordered wasnât cooked to how he asked & was just thrown on a plate, the potatoes & vegetables which come out in a shared dish were fine but not enough for two people. We asked for the bill three times, as the different waitresses that were looking after our table were running around like headless chickens. I think if you were to book for a quiet romantic meal, request to be seated in the main restaurant where there is a more welcoming feel. I believe this has dramatically fallen in all areas & wont be returning any time soon.

Dont bother wsting your money here goto Nandos or Bills.Food is overcooked bone dry piri piri piri chicken with the most boring handful of rocket chucked on a plate with no dressing or any other salad items, Fries where luke warm and pretty stale and the whole dish needed a sauce but they forgot to put this on the plate. Mananger totally dissinterested when i raised to point with her.Will never eturn which is a shame as the Newmarket store was lovely...Try harder.

Visited this restaurant on a Tuesday evening, ordered the mixed shush kebab and lamb ribs. Both meals were very nicely cooked, extremely tasty and hot. The surroundings were very relaxing and the staff couldnât have been any more attentive. This was our first visit to this restaurant but will not be our last. Already planning our next visit.

Popped in after the England rugby match on Saturday for a bite to eat, unfortunately the kitchen had just closed however that didn't stop them as the guy at the bar took our order and promptly got it sorted for us which was fantastic service.We thoroughly enjoyed sitting at the bar with some nice food and a lovely bottle of red wine (Tempranillo). Definitely be back!
