This restaurant has a pleasant ambience, and the menu seems typical of Turkish restaurants. It seems to have good reviews, so I was hopeful when I came in. Unfortunately, the food did not match my expectations. Some examples of disappointing dishes include the friend zucchini pancakes. In Turkey and throughout the Eastern Mediterranean region these are small, light, crispy and clearly made from zucchini. Also they should be fully cooked, not raw or nearly raw in the middle. Here the dish was quite the opposite: just partially cooked and not really made from anything, just an anonymous batter. I could not find the zucchini. Another disappointing dish was lamb with okra. There was very little lamb in the dish, the sauce was more sour than anything else. This is a dish (of Turkish origin like most Greek dishes) that I have eaten a lot in Greece, and I was very disappointing. Another was dish that disappointed me was the fried calamari. Again, it was hard to find the calamari; it was mostly batter. What was good? The coban salad was delicious (chopped up tomatoes, cucumbers etc.), really nothing else. While nothing was really terrible except perhaps the zucchini cakes, nothing was really good.I should mention that I lived many years in Israel, and have spent a lot of time in Greece and have also visited Turkey a couple of times. I am not certain that an American would have the same reaction to the dishes that I had. People seem to really like the restaurant and the waitstaff were very pleasant and friendly. One final point should be mentioned. The food came out almost instantaneously. Is it all precooked, I wonder? I would expect a stew to be precooked but not any of the other dishes. Perhaps this explains the semi-raw zucchini dish.

Had a really wonderful lunch at Momo's! Classic Moroccan cooking done with style. The tagine was excellent and I really liked the tender potatoes and carrots in it, the kebabs were tasty and beautifully presented also. The owner is genial and does everything he can to please including pouring the essential Moroccan mint tea. Great place to go! Highly recommended!

Small Family operated restaurant in the University Circle area of Cleveland. We are in the "Uptown" district of University Circle area of Cleveland Open Kitchen, Tavern and a quick serve environment.
If you want to eat good, fresh food in a restaurant that locally owned and operated, skip all the chain restaurants in Uptown and go to Simply Greek. Whether it's a Gyro, a Greek salad, Baklava, or Avgolemono that you crave, this is the best Greek food in Cleveland. It costs a little more than the chain places, but the quality is excellent. Parking is a problem for all Uptown eateries-- if you can't find a spot on Euclid Avenue, park in the lot behind the Dunkin Donuts/Barnes and Noble.
