Visited this restaurant twice during our vacation in Tuscany and I must say that the quality and level of this restaurant is far higher than one could imagine: Tuscan dishes prepared with excellent ingredients and a touch of creativity, competent and friendly staff, a fairly priced wine list and a great view over the surrounding hills.

We chose le Cantine because it was highly rated on TripAdvisor. We waited 1h15 to be served. The pizzas were very basic, we guessed not home made tomato sauce. The meat was very poor quality, greasy and over salted, the fries served with it were like those of a cheap fast food restaurant. The salad was basic and dry; inedible.

Max (owner) is so friendly and approachable, he ensures you have the best meal and cooks exceptionally well. His pasta, pizza and salt bread are out of this world and the house wine is delicious! If youâre in Tuscany, visit (or indeed stay in) Civitella In Val di Chiana and have apertivo at La Botteghina di Civitella... then stay for dinner. You wonât regret it! Thank you Max for such a memorable experience (we stayed in the town for 2 nights and dined with Max both days)!

The simplicity of Tuscan flavours, the perfumes of our valley can be found in the dishes of the Osteria, the youthful country restaurant, perfect for dinner with friends or a romantic date. At the Osteria every occasion is a special one.If you come once,
Amazing traditional pretty restaurant in the village square of a small Tuscan village. They accommodated us for a late dinner (9.30pm) as we only just arrived to our B&B nearby. The menu was quite large with varied options, and prices were very reasonable. We ordered a delicious, out of this world truffle & porcini mushroom pasta! It was soo good but portion size a bit small. The truffle pizza was also very delicious, base nice and thin and crispy! The lamb ragout pasta was also good. House wine was nice and good value and they offer carafes. The waitress even offered to keep our food warm when one of us had to put a child to bed. We went again another night and ordered an amazing meat platter which was perfectly cooked and juicy. The service was again very good. Overall, this is the best tasting restaurant in the village out of the 2 restaurants there (we felt the other restaurant has a nicer panorama view from the terrace but the food is not as good).

Reading about the positive reviews of this place, and staying in the nearby A Point hotel, we decided to go here. Atmosphere is ok, host is very welcoming and trying to speak English. Design of the restaurant is open for discussion :) I liked the mixed seafood starter, but the monkfish my wife ate was not that good. I had tuna with which you can't do much wrong, so it was ok. Specialty is fish, quite uncommon in this area not close to the sea, that's why it probably got good reviews as you want to eat something different than pasta and pizza here, but we were not impressed.

IN THE HEART OF TUSCANY The restaurant La Chiave Dei Sapori in Badia Agnano is located in the historic center of the characteristic Tuscan town, like a pearl set in history. MEAT OR FISH? The dilemma is arduous when you can choose between home-made pasta
We were celebrating our wedding-anniversary with four daughters and son in laws and eleven grandchildren from age one to sixteen. The experience was superb! The lovely laid table, the playground and toys for the children, the welcoming atmosphere and the food was the best we had during our stay in Tuscany! Thank you!Grazie a voi per averci scelto siamo contenti di non avervi deluso ma siamo strafelici di avervi avuto come ospiti nel nostro ristorante grazie a voi saluti Leo

I tried this place after a quick check on TripAdvisor ranking and this is among the top rated. Well, frankly, to me it's not !! Let's start from scratch; my first impression wasn't good, both the atmosphere and the furniture seemed to be suitable for a cheap and low quality restaurant, the kind of which we have by our house in some cases.I might not have tried everything obviously, but I did tasted what should have been a delicious pizza. Folks, mark my words, I have never EVER had such a terrible pizza in Italy, literally. I don't know why, maybe they have changed the pizza maker, or the ownership I can't say, but I will never enter this restaurant anymore, not even by mistake.

The restaurant has a very tended furniture. Atmosphere is very Italian and pleasant. The service was absolutely friendly. We had Caprese and Bruscetta, Gnochi and Spaghetti, white wine and absolutely great Dolce! Very normal prices. Out of my sight the best restaurant in the direct environment of Civitella. But caution! It lays directly at the mainstreet behind a hedge, and it happens easy to miss the restaurant while driving along.

We probably arrived a little late for lunch however it was no problem. Service wasn't the fastest but we weren't in a hurry so it didn't matter. Interesting menu and very artistic presentation. Plenty to see in this village. Excellent museum and art gallery and magnificent views.

Nice indoor location, still fresh during the summer, friendly service. We had pappardelle with ragù from chianina (local cow kind) and meat filet with truffles, both very good (despite my gf complaining truffles didn't smell enough ).Pricing is quite high but still in range with similar restaurants in the surroundings.
