This pub has a reasonable selection of food on offer and everything we ordered was really nice. The set menu is also excellent value for money. The back terrace also has a lovely atmosphere for relaxing on a warm summer evening.

Stylish, seasonal Mediterranean cuisine by chef Valere Diochet . Our menu changes frequently to take advantage of the best seasonal local produce. A relaxed restaurant not molecular gastronomy or liveried staff. But super fresh Mediterranean dishes and br
Les carrasses is exactly that we were missing here in our region. Beautiful property, breathtaking views... modern and traditional at the same time. Most of the clients are anglophones, so the menue is friendly to international tastes. Possibility to drink at the bar, eat outside or inside. Menue changes often. We remarked that the food was of higher quality during the low season. Looks like the chief struggles to meet the high demand at the high season and not always gets a success in it.Two main negative points: the service and the price of wines. The service really needs to be improved. As for the prices of wines... well, guys, we know as well as you that we are in the region where the wines cost pea-nuts. So, we are quiet shocked not to find any single bottle on the wine list cheaper than 28 euros (+++). This only reduces the consolation. Apply the fare price (not multiplied by 5) and clients will order 2 bottles instead of one. Otherwise nice property, we will be back and advise our friends to go there.Hi Mary,Thanks very much for your review. We're glad you liked the Château so much, though we're sorry you didn't feel that the service was up to scratch on this occasion - we work hard to ensure excellent service at all times, and have brought your comments to the attention of the team. We're a bit surprised by your comments about the price of the wine though. We pride ourselves on showcasing the best of Languedoc wines at great value for money, with the wines starting at â¬19 for our own Les Carrasses cuvees; We have 35 different bottles at less than â¬28 (more than half the list!). Perhaps you were looking at the list of daily specials? In any case, we look forward to seeing you again at Les Carrasses, and the opportunity to show you some of the great, reasonably priced wines we offer. Thanks again for your review.

When travelling Europe, we try to find a top quality restaurant off the beaten track for a fine dining experience. Dinner at La Mécanique des Freres Bonano ticked all the boxes. The beautifully decorated restaurant is run by the Bonano brothers in a gorgeous âtinyâ village in Colombières-sur-Orb. Locating the restaurant would be difficult without some instructions. The Bonano cream colour car is parked on the main road and this is where you turn down a steep driveway to the picturesque restaurant and setting. The fabulous outdoor setting would be ideal for summertime lunches and a more relaxed dining experience. The courses were delicate, decadent, delicious and divine. The menu is influenced by the produce of the season and there is an abundance of quality fresh produce and wines from the Languedoc region. I hope you enjoy the Bonano experience as much as we did. Of course, the view is spectacular. You can see the river and viaduct from the terrace dining area across the road from the cave. Which is what it is; a wine seller's with a kitchen. It is owned by a Dutchman whose family are involved in fishing in the North Sea and that's where my Sea Bass came from. Tasty and succulent and perfectly prepared. A decent local organic white wine accompanied this main course. Prices are reasonable. However, service can be a bit sketchy and you can be hanging around waiting for the bill. Still, the food's good whatever it may be and the view is, as I said, spectacular.

We were really excited to read reviews and had called to see menu previously before booking. We had our table for the whole evening which was lovely. No rush to get you out here.We felt that the food was under seasoned somewhat, and I only add seasoning to food when itâs being cooked and never after itâs on the plate. The flavours were not strong enough to notice for our palates even though I have no doubt that everything was made with care and attention and best quality ingredients and there were some lovely ideas. Beware if you ask for the fillet steak because medium rare (or a point) comes back as medium+.Sorry not one we will return to.
