Tapas Bar and Restaurant. Based in an atmospheric old church Sol y Sombra celebrates local food served tapas style. Perch at the bar and nibble a few bites or graze through the menu of an evening at your leisure. Outside terrace for summer dining. Extensi
Lovely setting, very clean and looks really well when entering the premises. The service is really excellent with each of the staff surpassing each other. The choice was great, the food excellent and then there was the chocolate fondant, to die for.

To be honest I have eaten Breakfast in Tralee in different places about once a week or fortnight for the last three years with little complaints from anywhere. But this experience was five star in my humble view. I got the â¬10 Full Irish. I asked for no tomato or beans and the eggs to easy. Not overly fussy but you would be amazed the amount of times I have been let down even with those simple demands. What I got was 4 Sausages, 3 Bacon, 2 black and 2 white pudding thickly cut, 2 eggs cooked asked I asked, Toast, a bowel of lovely deep fried cubed spuds. Bacon was crispy. Coffee was very good, decent flavour. I asked the waitress for a bit 9f vinegar (for the chippy spuds) to which was promptly supplied. All in all a lovely start to my day. Good service. Cheap enough for what you get. All done well. Simple things done well can make us happiest. Thanks.

Staying @ the Brandon Tralee this restaurant was on our doorstep, we didnât expect much as we went blind on a sat eve but were pleasantly surprised. Nice cosy atmosphere, good selection and tasty food. We went with our daughter (5) who shared our starters and had a delicious small portion of linguine Bolognese, ( no separate kids menu but I think this is a good thing). We had antipasti and a caprese salad for starter followed by a steak and a risotto, all delicious and a bottle of the house wine - Sangiovese- really nice and highly recommended. We shared a great chocolate cake for dessert. All in highly recommend this restaurant for a good meal in Tralee. Staff were very nice and helpful but seemed a little disorganized, This didnât really bother us as we got everything we ordered and werenât in a rush but for example wine didnât arrive until after we had our starters. All in though Iâd highly recommend Thank you for your feedback and for bearing with us during a busy evening in the restaurant. We are delighted you had a good evening with your daughter and enjoyed the meal and wine so much. We look forward to seeing you again should you return to Tralee and The Brandon.
