Had a quick lunch here with my 2 year old daughter, which I don't regret. The staff are very helpful and did their best to cater for our needs. Food was good but maybe not that as good as I expected from reading the reviews here. Good value for money!

Great food and wine is hardly a rarity in Italy or Abruzzo. Where this restaurant brings the whole thing together is in the service and particularly the ambience. So often Italian restaurants are bright and lack atmosphere and of course they are famous for having a TV in everybody's view in anything but fine dining environments. This however just gets it all right. It's classic abbruzzese food, done well with a creative wine list in a cosy, quirky environment. Three small dining rooms mean you feel you're in a small special space wherever you sit. There's a little bar area too which appeared to be uses by locals and I imagine the square on summer is set up well.Service too was exceptional, being English and speaking a little Italian it's nice when they still let you speak in Italian even if their English is better than your Italian!I'd go out of my way to visit this restaurant again.

Interesting place to go. Nice location, and well laid out restaurant. If you want to know what you are going to eat before you get it, do not bother going here! The host was interesting and entertaining.it resulted in us paying morecforvthe meal than we would normally want to. Feltva bit like he could see you coming as a foreigner and would boost his sales without your approval. The unknown dishes kept coming, and were tasty, but doing this you have no idea when your courses start and end.

We visited the lovely town on the way to Barrea (another lovely location). It is a small restaurant that was totally empty when we entered it on a Saturday for lunch --later another two guests arrived. I am always wary of empty restaurant and started to worry, but the friendliness of the service put us immediately in a good mood. We have two small children and immediately offered to bring some toys and pencils for them. Then the food: the list in quite standard for the region, but it has excellent and also innovative ingredients. Thus traditional dishes that you can eat anywhere become truly exceptional! the 'antipasto' and the 'primi' are a collection of delicacies, portions are generous. We had the house wine, which was extremely inexpensive (I believe around 5 euros for half a litre!) and perfectly drinkable. If I have to find a problem it is the fact that we changed our itinerary and came back to Pettorano just to discover that in July they are for lunch only during the weekend.

Purtroppo no
We always have dinner here anytime we visit. Fresh and homemade food served with a smile and a friendly chat.

It is located in what was a school back in the 1940's. On the walls in the dining areas are frescoes of St Anthony's life. I was told by someone who went to school here that these were the original works. Besides that fact, the wood fired pizzas we had were one of the best. These two facts combined is what

We try to eat here every time we visit Pacentro, the staff are lovely, the tables are not too crowded and the food is glorious and not overly expensive. Try the home made Tagliatella with wild boar, smoked local cheese and truffle, amazing!
