Buenos Aires is a cosmopolitan city, a melting pot of very different types of people who have shaped the identity of each of its neighborhoods. Wave after wave of immigration, along with the porteños’ penchant for looking abroad, have infused each area with its own unique features, be it Recoleta’s aristocratic legacy or San Telmo’s love affair with tango.

Mediterranean cuisine. A restaurant of Spanish tendency, exquisite dishes in harmony with the environment. A unique view of Puerto Madero from the first floor. Special for corporate lunches or night celebrations. Premium service with more than 20 years of
We were staying at the Hilton nearby this restaurant and were wanting to try some Italian food. There are several restaurants behind the Hilton on the waterfront, and we were eating in the 6:00 range, so many of them were not even open for dinner yet. We opted for Sorrento, and it did not disappoint. However, we really didnât order Italian. They offered pasta dishes but we both went for the fish. We ordered gambas with garlic as a starter and two fish dishes. I was a little disappointed in mine only because it was described as fish with asparagus, shrimp, mussels and a poached egg. The asparagus was canned; the shrimp was one langostino served with its head, and the egg was hard. There were also tasteless sliced boiled potatoes and four mussels. The mussels and fish were good, but I would have ordered pasta if I had seen the dish plated prior to ordering it. My husband ordered sole with shrimp and capers and Andean potatoes. His was excellent. The wine was great. The service was great early on, but after they got busy, it was pretty slow. Our view was pleasant, and we werenât in a hurry, so we enjoyed ourselves completely.

Classical Italian and Mediterranean food. Very old recipes. Colonial terrace with smoking area. Managed with his owner chef Sebastian Rivas Proia. Historical location. Frequented for the local Italian collectivity.
My husband and I came here seeking a change from pizza and grilled meat in Buenos Aires. We made reservations online which was very easy. We ordered a spinach and ricotta gnocchi and a lasagne with beef and pork ragu. Both were awesome, especially the lasagna which had a tangy tomato sauce, rich ragu and a creamy béchamel sauce. Staff was friendly and attentive. Would recommend!!

This is a very good little Italian place. The waiters are fluent in English and provide attentive service. The bread is very good, and the fish of the day was excellent when we tried it. It does get very busy and very noisy. It's not the spot for a quiet, romantic meal. Arrive before 1:30 to get a table for lunch, as it's quite crowded after that.

For us, we have been going to Buenos Aires for 35 years since our honeymoon, and we had the privilege of seeing fantastic retaurants such as Clark's de recoleta, Au Bec Fin, Gato Dumas, Brasserie Pètanque and others that no longer exist, Pecora Nera represents all the best that we saw in those years. Perfect atmosphere, service, refinement and cuisine at the highest level. Thank you Daniel for these wonderful moments.

Walking into St. Regis Restaurant´s large Winter Garden-style dining room, guests are greeted by warm, soothing golden and peach tones complemented by crisp withe table linenes, dark wood accents and sophisticated nuances. Large windows overlooking the ci
St. Regis continues to provide good cuisine and superb environment. Breakfast and lunch are great, especially if you are lucky to have Vanesa or Andres helping you (they are both great). For dinner, our impression is that St. Regis is not at the level it was a few years ago. It is still good, but it used to be spectacular. In two occasions we were unable to drink the wine we wanted, even though they were in the list.

Had dinner here on a Thursday night. Half empty.Found Waitering extremely poor. Pouring water for two of the three dinners is rather poor practice.Charging for a complementary amouse bouche is not complementary. Prawn dish was good.Patagonia Lamb mains was average and the veal with truffle was over done.Lovely interior. Good wine list. Poor service. Dear Mr Nolanar,We appreciate your comments about your experience at Rëd resto & lounge. We regret not having exceeded your expectations. Your feedback is very important to improve our service and provide. We look forward to welcoming you back soon and reverse your experience.Remaining at your disposal,Kind regards,Paula CarzoglioGuest Services Manager

We went for lunch after arriving in BA after a 10-hour flight. We were tired, but wow were we taken care of!We did the whole deal. App, main, dessert, wine. All was presented as a high-end restaurant. They started us with an additional amuse-bouche of chicken liver pate. Not to sound too snooty, but my wife exclaimed 'best ever!' We commented on how much we liked and they brought us more.We had a nice bottle of wine (recommended). And served in some of the best wine glasses ever (and I'm a glass snob...not to start a trend here). We shared the onion soup app, which was vegetable based and served in a 4-star manner (i.e., professionally). My wife had the octopus carpaccio, and really enjoyed it.I had the lamb ravioli, which I only thought was ok. (My wife disagreed.)Nice desserts and little treats here and there really made the meal. (bread, butter plate, petitfours, etc.)The real treat of the meal was the service. First class from start to finish. We strongly considered going back for a 2nd time, but ultimately had just too few meals in town to do so.

We offer a unique social and dining experience, sharing a table with other guests in our home. The setting is casual and the conversation lively. Our food is eclectic â exploring the spices, herbs, chilies, and ingredients of the Andes, fused with global
Upon the recommendation of a friend, I signed up for the Chefâs dinner at Casa Saltshaker. I was a little apprehensive as thereâs no guarantee that the other attendees will speak English. And I speak appallingly little Spanish. Still, I was looking forward to a wonderful dinner. And the menu didnât disappoint. It starts with a delectable cocktail. The 5 courses, along with homemade bread, were all delicious and varied. Perfectly presented. And exquisitely paired with Argentinian wines. I thought the portion sizes were perfect â I left pleasantly stuffed.I lucked out and all the other attendees were from the USA. Some were grad students studying there or there for work assignments and rest of us were passing through. It was an interesting and lively group of all ages and Dan, who introduces each course and its paired wine, had to wait for a lull in the conversation several times before he could begin. So, take a chance and sign up for this. It was one of (if not the best) meals I had during my stay in Buenos Aires.Tip: Dan has written a witty book, Donât Fry for Me Argentina, full of vignettes (sorry Dan, I know you donât like that word) of his experiences living in Buenos Aires peppered with the occasional recipe. You can prearrange to buy it or order it online. I bought mine there and he was kind enough to autograph it for me.

Wow! Wow! Wow!Trust the great reviews, because they, like mine will be, are genuine and from the heart. This restaurant is well presented, the slick staff are professional and friendly and from the front door greeting our ( and soon to be yours ) experience began. The wine options are amazing, particularly the Reds. The menu options for food were great, the steak options are amazing. I highly recommend Rib eye whit bone done medium rare.Seriously though, this is a 'Must experience' restaurant.Muchas gracias from Wayne & Jodie, Wellington City New Zealand Dear Wayne and Jodie,Thank you very much for leaving us such a wonderful review! this is the kind of comment that we treasure and make us very proud. We hope you had a great time in Argentina and come back to visit us soon! All the best!
