The portions were huge and far too salty for either of us to eat. The starters were reasonable at best but it was definitely not worth the £80 we paid. The wine was nice enough but we only had a glass. As we came in the host Kira was quite rude and abrupt when we asked for a menu for drinks. She also asked us to leave a small bottle of water outside the door?! All in all this was a lovely atmosphere and environment but the food was really below par and the entire experience was made awkward and uncomfortable by the host.On top of this it is a VERY long way to travel unless you live close, our taxi to and from Calete de Fuste was £50 return...Dear Sonali, I am sorry to hear that your experience at Antonia has not been to your full satisfaction. We only cook with the best local produce and our charge for a 3-course dinner including wine is competitive in relation to other fine-dining restaurants on the island. Unfortunately, we do not allow our guests to bring their own drinks which is stated on our website and apologise for any confusion on this matter. We hope to see you again and be able to revert your experience. Kind regards, Kira

Disastrous evening for us! we saw this restaurant on TripAdvisor with some fantastic reviews but our food wasn't very good at all ! We had high expectations, Lovely looking establishment 1st of all the food wasn't anywhere near good quality to warrant these reviews and the T bone Steak portion size was very small 14 Euros! my wife and daughter ordered grilled chicken and Pork steak. Chicken was enjoyed but the pork came in chunks and my wife didn't enjoy her meal at all. Looked like Dog food she said ! & left most of it!Time for the bill they made mistakes with what we ate the bill was â¬63! The total bill should have been â¬35 approximately ! then despite me trying to explain what we had eaten and the price we thought we would be paying, I was told I had ordered from the Spanish menu not the English ome which wasn't true. I did ask to see it as I have been to many restaurants in Spain so was keen to see what was different. Our eveimg was completely spoilt and the fact the management tried to insist I'd eaten a chuleton steak was insulting as my steak was tiny compared to Corralejo Aveninda & only served with a handful of fries , my wife's pork dish had no vegetables The only good thing was eventually the owner gave us the prices we knew we had ordered. Needless to say we'd never return.

Rural guest house, restaurant patio - tapas & full meals - & bar. Extremely charming, disarmingly simple yet exceptionally handsome. Delicious local fare, excellent servce.service. Stayed overnight and ended up eating all meals there. Breakfast was 2nd to
Today we had lunch in this restaurant. Looked it up on the internet, because of the good reviews and the nice pictures. Unfortunately I was really disappointed when the food arrived. I heard constantly a ping of the microwave, did not smell any nice cooking fragrances, it looked poor and the taste was bad. Very sad, the place self is very beautiful, great atmosphere and very 'Spanish' and authentic. We both had pain in our stomach the whole afternoon :-( I would certainly not go there, a waste of your money

We had visited Antigua, Fuerteventura just for the day, we found the restaurant by chance as we were wandering around the area. We were greeted pleasantly and asked the language we wanted the menu in. My partner had a local dish with goat meat, which just melted in the mouth. I had a pizza, with some of the best tomato sauce layer I've tasted. It was family friendly, as are most Spanish restaurants . We were given a small local custard filled doughnut type taster with our coffee, and at the end we were given a honey rum/chocolate combination, which was l enjoyed very much. I would have eaten there again if we'd stayed closer to it.

We approached La Taverna shakily and somewhat troubled. You see we had survived my driving along the spectacular FV-30 bloodied but unbowed. The narrow winding mountain road, like something from the Italian Job, was a bit of an ordeal. We found out later that they drive on the right - madness! It's no wonder they kept blowing the horn at us.Anyway, with half the road done and half still to go, Betancuria offered a suitable place to stop off and look for somewhere for lunch. La Taverna looked bright, welcoming and calming - and so it proved. We were shown a table and given a menu with the food items shown as pictures - ideal for small children or ignorant Brits who speak no Spanish. The person that took our order was friendly and helpful. Although English was spoken only falteringly, far from being a problem this added to the charm of the place and reinforced the impression that we were a long way from the tourist hub of Corralejo and seeing an area more true to Puerteventura. The food was very good, if a little pricey, and the portions were HUGE. We really enjoyed our visit and our food - I had fish balls. Suitably refreshed we looked each other meaningfully in the eye, steeled our nerve and made our way back to the car where I drove and my family screamed and clutched their seats.

Ate here with friends in May after a dander around the village. 9 little plates of tapas to share between us. Goat stew, peas with bacon, padron peppers, chickpeas with chorizo, paella etc.All quite tasty but veering towards the bland. I would have liked a little more ooomph!Quirky decor and great ambience though so a memorable lunch. Did not have to pay to use the toilet.Recommend a stop off here.

We visited after it had rained and at first thought that it was closed as the outside chairs were tipped up against the tables, but we are glad that we continued inside. We shared a large plate of mixed tapas for lunch - a good selection of hot and cold morsels in a very nice setting. The red wine wasn't the best that we had during the holiday, but it was OK. The inside is quite dark and poorly lit - probably a good atmosphere for the evening, but very dark for lunchtime. Perfunctory service. The prices was a reasonable 21 euros - cash only.

We popped in here for coffee, en route to Betancuria and were expecting a basic village cafe, but were surprised how sophisticated it was. Those having lunch seemed to have large platefuls. We had already eaten, so sufficed with coffee, sat at one of the windy outside tables, overlooking the village church. The coffee was good, but it was expensive for what it was, compared to most cafes.

This review simply relates to the café (rather than restaurant) as we called in just for a coffee. Suffice to say that the coffee was not the cheapest (E2-50), but certainly the best of our 2 weeks in Lanzarote (this being a day trip). The bar area is just superb, so much of interest with sides of ham and goat bells etc. hanging from the ceiling. The restaurant is directly opposite the church of the same name and the village, original island capital, is just gorgeous and timeless.

The mission is simple: serve delicious, affordable food that guests will want to return to week after week. THE FOOD Our menu changes according to the seasons and what is provided on a local basis - making sure that vegetarian and vegan options are always
We stopped at this cafe whilst visiting Betancuria. The cafe is set in stunning gardens with lots of exotic plants and cacti. The food is also great quality, the burgers are fantastic. There is also a good choice of vegetarian options.
