We discover this hidden gem thank to the onsicilycard. We’ve been here a couple of times: once we had only some appetizers with wine and on a couple of evenings we had dinner. In July they had a couple of tables outside and the atmosphere was lovely, while drinking you wine and listening to the Sicilian life around.Dinning inside was also a great experience: the interior design and very nice and cosy. They have a great list of wines and you can taste some simple but delicious Sicilian dishes.

We found this place via Tripadvisor based on the good reviews. But, our experience was underwhelming, the food was no so great and the guy charged me for replacing chips with veggies. The bread was not fresh at all.The language barrier also added to the frustration. Try but manage your expectations.

We chose to haveSunday lunch in this restaurant in October to celebrate my relative's birthday. What a mistake! The restaurant is only open on Saturday and Sunday's and on this day we were only one of two tables occupied. The menu was very limited, from memory only about four choices per course, and when the food arrived it was extremely uninspiring. My main course consisted of four large king prawns, shells on, nothing else, for €18. Despite the weather being fine, there were no tables laid outside so we were inside in the rather tacky dining room. We asked for the wine list but they only had a choice of two white and one red wines to offer us. Staff were friendly, place was clean, but these are the only positives.Dear customer,we are sorry about your bad experience but I have to say that Da Clà Restaurant is closed in October and in general during all winter season. This means that you wrote a review in the wrong page. So basically you had a dinner at the hotel where Da Clà is based, and anyway we are sorry about that. We are now writing on hotel behalf and they are really sorry too.We know the quality of the food and we are sure it was excellent. However we apologize about the limited selection of the menu but being in a low season means that in order to guarantee an high quality of food, we prefere offer to our customer a small menu instead of a long list of option made from frozen or canned food as many restaurants are used to do during the low season.About the wine I don't know exactly what happened, so I'll make sure that the problem will be fixed because we usually have a large range of wines to offer. Apologizing again,Regards

This restaurant is a must. During the summer months, I highly recommend making reservations, especially if you are a large group. We first dined at Trattoria Della Nonna in 2015. The food was amazing!!! When we returned this past summer, we were hoping to re-experience, to put it simple, the amazing food. We were not disappointed. The service was great and the portions were huge. Their seafood is fresh and their meats are excellent. Most importantly, their prices are affordable. Don't miss out. I'm Sicilian and I know good food. We ate there several times this past August, and I always left satisfied.

Fantastic lunch with great options. I had the Zuppa Fantasia, a large bowl of mussels, langostino, shrimp, octopus, and squid. YUMMM. Friends had busciate, a locally made pasta with seafood & pesto and pasta with clams. All good, well priced and great service.

Neapolitan pizzeria with wood-burning oven.
The dining area is functional, with plastic chairs and slightly faded decor but this place is really charming. the staff are friendly and the food is excellent! All our pizzas were really good and at a very reasonable price. The wine was fine as was the soft drinks. I loved eating here.

We have been coming to this family-run restaurant for years on our last night before flying home. The first time, it was late and not much was open but the owner welcomed us in as the only guests and served us two fish that were fresh, fresh, fresh. Since then we always come back. Normally, we have the fish but this time we decided to have pizza. It was the best pizza I had in the three weeks we were in Sicily and that is saying a lot! The crust was tender and thin with a good chew and the toppings were excellent. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is because name implies it is a lounge as well. We had stopped in earlier in the evening for a pre-dinner drink only to find they had nothing beyond beer, wine, lemoncello and amaro. No cocktails. So we returned later for a great dinner. Thanks for the review and the next. We're gearing up for the bar so he can give us five as judgment

Our is a restaurant located in the center of Castellammare del Golfo just a few meters from the Port. It is a restaurant built inside an ancient monastery of 1870, with characteristic walls of the time, all associated with a great Mediterranean fish cuisi
Being welcomed with warmth, friendliness and professionalism is one good, when not essential, thing when dining out. The word restaurant literally means "a place where to restore", hence the first element is there and Francesco knows how to treat his customers! However, the real BOOM BANG experience is their food! Simply excellent on all fronts! The fish is super fresh, caught and brought daily from local fishermen. The freshness is something that you see with your eyes and experience in your mouth, at each bite, without failing ever your senses! We ate an antipasto of sea cruditè with red and white prawns (so fresh that only the very skin of the head was left, without the inside is understood!), tuna and sword fish tart-tar, one oyster (I leave it to your imagination to gather how fresh the oyster was), and marinated salmon. Then their stable and revisited pasta con le sarde with busiate and turmeric flavoured breadcrumbs was to die for! and obviously, because you judge a restaurant from their most simple dish, I decided to go for spaghetti alle vongole, and here I was totally utterly entirely thrilled! This is a must go, whether if you happen to be near by or if you have to fly from New York to go there!!!!! Highly recommended!
