We chose an early evening meal at Barceloneta after reviewing it on TA and other web sites. It was a moderate hike from our hotel and we arrived hungry and ready for a Spanish feast. Things started well. It's a fairly small place, but friendly looking and smelled wonderful. Things went down hill rather rapidly after this unfortunately. First, we ordered an appetizer advertised and depicted as "4 Gombas," nice large shrimp. We received 3. We asked about it and were told oh, that's when they are small, these are big. Well, so were the ones in the photo...We swallowed that. Next, we ordered our entrees. My companion clearly ordered the mixed paella with chicken. Our waitress even repeated it when she took our order. I ordered the filet. After a tolerable wait, I was served a delectable, well presented filet with asparagus and potato accompaniments. Unfortunately, my companion was served a seafood paella. We noted this was the wrong order, and were scolded that that is what we ordered. It was NOT. They agreed to make it good if we were willing to wait 20 minutes, which we did. I was finished with my meal before hers even arrived. Though it was quite well prepared and visually appealing, it's long delay put a big downer on what we'd hoped would be a great dining experience. Having been there a while already, I asked for the check...only to be told they do not accept Visa, and that I'd have to pay cash. They said it was posted in the window, which I never saw initially or later. I was forced to go across the street to an ATM to finish what had already been a pretty trying dining experience. The food was quite good, but as you may surmise, my impression of the place sunk decidedly south by the time I threw down the Euros and left this most unwelcoming locale. We are very sorry for your disappointment, but there are points where the client is not always right. The prawns in the photo are four but we serve them to weight so that everyone in our restaurant receives the same amount. I will not go into if the paella asked for chicken or seafood. Before his decision when the paella arrived at the table, we restored him FOR A FRESH PAELLA AND PUT AT THE MOMENT, like every dish in our restaurant. A RICE TAKES AT LEAST 20 MINUTES, if you know how to do it in a shorter time .... Wala is a kitchen magician since a rice pump takes 20 minutes. Regarding your credit card .... at the entrance of the restaurant is very, very large and announced in our letter too. As you understand, we can not know how your food will pay, we are not magicians. Criticisms are free and we accept them when they are founded. Sorry this is not your restaurant. We have wonderful reviews and some less wonderful ones and in that we work every day to make Barceloneta a good restaurant. But as we said before ... the client is not always right. And throwing money with the account is not very good education either. Greetings the Barceloneta Gastro team

I couldnât recommend this restaurant highly enough! I live in Amsterdam but this is one I always return to whenever I have visitors. The food is delicious, the setting is gorgeous (especially on the terrace with a drink!) and the staff are very attentive! Definitely worth a visit!

Located in the western part of Amsterdam known as Osdorp, this is one of the newer restaurants in this area and competing with lots of other Turkish restaurants. But Sahan is top and probably the best with fresh ingredients, tasty fish, meat and vegetarian options as well. Friendly service and ..... very friendly priced !Worth the detour

Daily, the restaurant serves an extensive all-you-can-eat dinner buffet with a great variety of cold and warm dishes. Indulge in different flavors from various cuisines from all over the world and suprise your taste buds. Enjoy the all-you-can-eat dinner
The Corendon village hotel is a relatively new one, located in the old Sony building at Schuilhoeve business park Badhoevedorp. On the ground floor, in the back, you find their Village all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant. At 27,50 Euros a pop, for two hours you get to eat and drink all that you want from the provided selection. Drinks include the most common softdrinks, apple juice, orange juice, coffee, tea, plain old beer and white, red and rose wine. The two hour limit is only strictly enforced for anything alcoholic, which can only be acquired by tapping a smartcard to a reader. This card contains the time of entry digitally, so after expiring it simply wonât give you more beer or wine. Now letâs get to the food. The restaurant advertises what is considered a world buffet. Dishes from several kitchens across the world are available and they come true to their word. The selection, however, is very limited. With pizza, fries and steak, most of the world kitchen dishes are in place, right? I guess thatâs what Corendon must have thought.. But on a positive note, thereâs several Turkish dishes to choose from - something most world restaurants donât have. Letâs state a few, like Kofte meatballs and Doner meat, and some unnamed goo elsewhere on a corner of the buffet. And thereâs a small selection of sushi so Asia is also a checkmark on their list. With the restaurant a little over halfway filled on the Friday night, a thing that was disappointing was the quality of the warm buffet food. The meat was dry and temperatures were barely over lukewarm. Slapping that on a cold plate almost made you consider eating it before reaching your table in fear of having it cool down to fridge temperature. Then there are 3 large cold aisles in the buffet, one containing salad ingredients, another with god-knows-what ingredients, along with some saladspeads, but the third one, an absolute winner for the night, their dessert buffet. For whatever was lacking in this world restaurant, the dessert buffet made up for. A broad choice of European and Turkish pastries, American Cheesecake, a chocolate fountain with marshmellows, decorated doughnuts, lovely baklava, plenty for any sweet tooth to get the frosting on their teeth scream in fear and run off, the line of dentists waiting just outside the restaurant to restore the damage always busy, hahaha!!All in all Iâd have to come to the conclusion this restaurant is quite nice to have around if youâre staying in the hotel anyway, but for locals there are better (world) restaurants nearby to go to. So as locals, we wonât be returning anytime soon.

I had been looking for a good pizza, so Mangia jumped out at me. The atmosphere is nice on quaint street outside the touristy areas of the city. I had a caprese salad and a pizza, and enjoyed them both very much. The restaurant did fill up by 20:00 and many people were coming it to simply pick pizzas up. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the prices were reasonable. The menu offered much more than pizza too. I'd recommend Mangia to anyone in the area looking for Italian.

I am glad our hotel recommended this restaurant. Excellent service and fantastic food!We spent one month in Spain this past June eating at top rated restaurants (including 1star Michelin) and I must say that âParallel Amsterdamâ exceeded most of them. Really superb and highly creative. Donât miss this place, itâs fabulous!

Delicious food, drinks, and more. Cor & Don's City Restaurant is your destination for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Headed here as a change from my hotel to eat somewhere different, based on other feedback. It's easy to find - the hotel has a large illuminated sign so wasn't a difficult stroll. I was seated quickly and ordered a Adana Kebab with side salad and beer (the drink came quickly) and also a passing waiter offered a small titbit (tapas on toast) whilst I waited. When the kebab arrived it only had a small garnish on the plate and when I enquired if this was their side salad, it seemed they'd forgotten about it so hurriedly located it and brought it to the table. The meal was fine for what I ordered: flame-grilled lamb and herbs with a mint rahita (could have done with some chilli sauce) and went okay with the salad, but for nearly 20 euros it felt overpriced.Although the place didn't seem to be too full the staff still seemed to be scurrying around, busily. At some point a passing waitress asked if I wanted a dessert menu and vanished to get one... then 15 mins later spotted me and realised she'd forgotten all about me. However, I ordered some breads and dip whilst I finished my second beer. This oversight seemed to be a repeatable model: after sitting there with an empty glass and no offers of refills, I asked a waiter to fetch me the bill. After seeing nothing for the next 15 mins, I asked a waitress instead who produced it fairly quickly.I would have stayed for more beers and maybe returned on another day, but felt overall the service was slow and negligent - nobody really cared if customers wanted anything more, and with several waiting staff being so forgetful I think I'll forget about returning. A pity, since those burgers looked nice.
