I'd been to various iterations of the Bürgerhaus restaurant before, but only the Markgraf has got my repeated custom. I was thre for my wedding anniversary and the food was plentiful, beautifully presented and tasty and the bar very relaxed. Service is friendly and helpful, possibly with a little something on the house after. The best German restaurant in Backnang, I would say. Highly recommended and not just for pre-theatre food (although combining it with a trip to the Bürgerhaus above is obviously a pretty logical thing to do).

Good restaurant. Great service, and the food tastes amazing. But unfortunately there was a huge language barrier there as my friends and I all spoke English, and all of the waiters English speaking skills weren't the best!Go somewhere else if you only speak English.

What a great recommend! We ate aubergine, whole squid, lamb chop, souvlaki-chicken, beef, and pork, greek salad, beer, etc... for 38 euro! The food was great. And I'd eat here again just for the great service! Excellent. Thank you very much for the nice Feedback!

What a wonderful evening beside the Chiesa and overlooking the Plaza and port. The service was formal but very friendly, and the food and wine was superb. The Buon Ricardo dish of sword fish and pasta soup was excellent as was the best Fritto Misto we have tasted. We finished with Malvasia della Lipari, their local desert wine, and grappa. With all that, the meal was great value.

If you're looking for some really exceptional Greek food and service, this is a great place to go. The owner, who served us that evening, was beyond friendly and accomodating. For example, he let us try several wines before finally deciding on a bottle and the samples were generous. We had an appetizer and entrees and everything came out perfectly timed, hot and fresh. We felt really well taken care of, but we also had a great deal of privacy. We spent over 3 hours at the restaurant and were very comfortable. I highly recommend this restaurant.
