We created this beautiful, industrial and warm atmosphere GastroBar for you, where you can enjoy and relax, nice views of the Alicante bay from our open terrace, refreshing cocktails, selected wines and home made food, deliciuos meat prepared on the grill
Great views from the upper terrace and fabulous food. We had the mixed grill platter between two of us. Everything cooked to perfection. Lost one star as they charged â¬3.50 for a 59 cent bottle of water!Hi Eve! Thank you very much for your nice and honest review! I am sorry, we might made a mistake, price of the 500cl water is 2,2â¬! Did you keep the receipt??? please let me know by email [email protected] to get you a vaucher and my apologize. Thank you again!Best regards,Israel

My husband had been here previous on a business trip, and he thought it would be nice to come back here when I was with him on a second business trip to Alicante. Not too far from our hotel. Lovely food, we opted for several tapas plates which were all delicious, and highly recommended. Service was excellent, but we were glad we had booked a table, because it was busy on the day we dined there. Would definitely go back here again!

I went there because of I read tons of good comments and several 5 stars rated. The restaurant is small, is not easy to find a table if you don't book previously (but that's ok) but, for my experience, is overrated. The rice was good (but I have had better rices in a lot of places), dessert was awesome but, for me, it was a little overpriced comparing what you get. Some weeks after, I came back because I read again Trip advisor comments and it was the same experience. My partners thought exactly the same.

The menu del dia is good value at â¬9.50. For starters there was a salad, followed by a choice of pasta, gazpacho, rice and some other dishes, followed by a choice of beef, monkfish, and other dishes. Ended up with homemade cake doused in a caramel sauce, all very enjoyable. On a 2nd occasion I tried a calimare sandwich, which was a massive portion and really enjoyable. The seafood was very fresh. The cafe is popular with locals and provides an authentic Spanish experience. I did see an English breakfast on offer too. Our waitress was very nice and welcomed us back on our 2nd visit, which was very nice. Her English is good and she accepted my attempts at Spanish with good grace. When we left a tip, all the staff thanked us with a lusty roar of appreciation. The cafe has air con, which is an added attraction.

We regularly visit Alicante for shopping & the museums, but the highlight of our visit is lunch at FreneZy. The welcome from Xavier and his team is always warm and the restaurant has a real family atmosphere, which makes us feel good. The daily menu changes regularly and at â¬15 is difficult to beat, the choices are limited but are ingenious in preparation and always of the highest quality. Depending on time aloud we have tried other establishments but this one is top of our list. This week they had an additional tasting menu in conjunction with other restaurants at câ¬40, which was amazing value for what was produced.Long may these guys go on and keep doing what they do so well.Hi Davuzi,We are happy to read that you like having your lunch in FreneZy when you are in town.We will keep changing the daily menu everyday and we also always propose some alternatives. It will be a pleasure to welcome you again next time you come for shopping...See you soon, and best regards,The FZ Team

Wow.....what an amazing experience we had here for our valentines weekend. We opted for the klandestino XL menu and it was just sensational. The service was first class and the waiters really explain to you in detail how to correctly eat each course. The chef Susi DÃaz is one clever lady creating exquisite plates of food. Its a very special place and deserves it Michelin Star. A great place to celebrate a special occasion or if you are a food lover this is a place that you must put on your culinary list. Simply sensational.

Singular concepto de cocina italiana. Original, fresca, casera. Contando con lo mejores alimentos del mercado. Lugar donde ademas puedes disfrutar de la tradicional piadina italiana unica en Alicante. Humildad, pasion, costancia nuestra esencia.
Visited for dinner with a colleague and had a lovely meal. Only 4 tables and a small, freshly cooked menu. Food is high quality and authentic Italian. I had the gnocchi wth meatball sauce while my colleague had the vegetable tagliatelle. Portions were small but that suited me - I was comfortably full after 2 courses. We were also offered complimentary amuse bouche between courses. Wine is reasonably priced. I would definitely come back.

Very enjoyable Saturday lunch with family. Personal service with the chef (owner) and charming waitress explaining what was on offer. As a bread enthusiast the servicio pan, being chunky bread with alioli and tomato was lovely. The following tomate con salazones (dried salty tuna) unusual and enjoyable. As for my "sandwich of pork" (bocata de magro con tomato), this stew was exquisitely cooked. Personally I would have preferred a few green beans or some cous cous or arroz with it rather than more bread. Others had fish dishes which were not to my taste. We opted for sharing the surprise dessert (Corte Alicantino) whereupon the chef brought a plate of ice cream on a brioche type bun and promptly set alight to the top half! Quite a performance. The restaurant is in a basement down a flight of stairs. The walls are adorned with customer comments - you are invited to add your own. A fun meal which takes time as a small staff and tiny kitchen. So do choose a day when you are at your leisure and can enjoy a slow paced meal. Thanks somuch for your comment. We celebrate you enjoyed the Sotaterra experience. And we appreciate very much your suggestions.Just apologize again for the delay in the service, which is not usual at Sotaterra. As metioned our oven broke in the precise moment of serve you, so I had to "improvise" another technique to cook your dishes.Hope to see you soon.

Nice little restaurant situated in the old town of Alicante whit home made kitchen. Mediterranean, mexican and greek kitchen.
I'm going to keep this short, because there is a plethora of glowing reviews about this amazing five table restaurant. That it compares with or exceeds the culinary experiences we've had at many famous destination dining spots is simply stunning when you consider that it's entire staff consists of the husband and wife team of Olivia and Fernando. The dining experience was exceptional, every dish was memorable. This restaurant is for those who adore great food. Just two tips. Make reservations and order their foie gras -- it will take you to gastronomic heaven.
