Stopped in during our first visit to the Angra marina but it was late afternoon and only the snack menu was on offer. Came back the next day at lunch for the limpets, but they were out, so we tried the barnacles instead. Okay for something to try, but probably wouldnât order again. The octopus however was fantastic. Crispy, well seasoned and just the right texture.

Nice local restaurant with simple country food. Sea food done well. Big selection but not all available. Reasonable wine selection. Rather crowded with tables. Locals seem to eat late around 9 ish. Overall good but nothing exceptional to entice me back again unless no other options.

First, the chap working there for lunch where super un-motivated, next, the light bulbs in the toilet where gone, then they had run out of ham and offered a real disgusting chorrizo with the plastic skin still on the cuts, bahbah, upon serving us made funny faces indicating we were pretty stupid to eat there at all....Sorry, this place should be closed.

Found this while driving around and came back a few nights later for dinner. Paulõ was the best waiter and you can tell how much he loves his job. He took us to pick our fish and explained the best way to have them prepared. Wish we could have gone a second time to try something else.

We did not have the experience that several people had noted in their reviews with the staff bringing food that wasn't ordered and charging us for it. (This happened with bread and butter at one restaurant but not here). Language barrier (we do not speak Portuguese) was a little more challenging here than at other places with menu questions (but the menu itself is in Portuguese and English). They have a good variety of offerings on the menu between meat and seafood and a lot of traditional items. The food overall was good - and house pudding dessert was amazingly good. The bacalhau was very good. The grilled octopus was overcooked (some of the tenticles were charred to a crisp. Someone else ordered the fresh fish but it came out fried fish? But it was pretty good as well.

Been here a couple of times. The tuna is quite good, but there was not much for my husband who prefers to eat chicken. There are better restaurants in Angra. The main good thing is that it is open a bit earlier than the others which is good if you prefer to eat early.

Enjoy our slow cooked food overlooking an amazing sea view. We are a Farm to Table restaurant, fusion of Portuguese, Turkish, and Italian cuisines using Azorean ingredients. We source our ingredients from the local Farmers'Market and do our best to buy or
Just when we thought we had scoured the town of Angra for places to eat, Captainâs Table was recommended. Off the beaten path and amazing fresh fish with kind and attentive service was our experience. the owner is turkish, so the dishes have a bit of a turkish flare... Totally great find!! i would go back... if you can reserve a table close to the window, do it. it gets a bit hot and there is only one window in the front. quirky, fun decor...super nice owner!!

âIt stands in an impressive classical space that contrasts with the modernity of the interior, especially the ground floor room where the food is modern, cosmopolitan and international, dedicated to the youngest who enjoy pizzas and burgers. Upstairs the
The restaurant was a recommendation from a very nice person working at one of the shops in town. It turned out to be close to our hotel (Hotel do Caracol). There's a "snack" area with lots of choices, including salads, pizza, chicken, ice cream, and more. There's also a more expensive, fancier menu at an upstairs section, but once we went to the snack area, we were satisfied to keep going back there. The waitress was sweet and friendly, and we ate outside by the garden. Hi, Thank you so much for visiting us and leaving such a nice review. we to see you again in our restaurant in a near future! :)

A cozy room with a pleasant atmosphere where you will find good food and a variety of cocktails!
Went several times to this friendly resto with terrace in the centre of town. They have a good and tasty lunch menu, very cheap. Go early to have a place in the shadow.
